Mounts That Should Water Walk

I'd love it if there were more mounts that could walk on water like the strider. There are already a bunch of mounts that would make sense to be able to do it.

Head of Mimiron (for the bastards that have it)
Lorewalkers Disk thing
Flying Carpets
Engineering Copters

Which mounts would you like to have a built in water walking ability?

You just listed some flying mounts... Every flying mount can fly over the water. There is a gameplay reason they can't fly so just because they can fly they can't walk on water.

This. That way, we all have our own choice of water walking mounts. It doesn't have to be gold it can be some other kind of repeatable grind or, in fact, both.

This makes the most sense to me. "Hovering" mounts that do not set feet on the ground, even when in a flying disabled area should reasonably be able to skim over the surface of water- examples include Cloud Serpents, Nether Rays, Pandaren Phoenixes, and Ashes of Al'ar, along with those suggested in the OP.

Yes! We could have a "mount garage" where we can customize our mounts abilities. Stuff like water walking or reduced fall damage.

Not everyone has farmed Anglers rep though. Is kind of odd though a magical flying carpet can somehow just fall in the water.

What about the Magic Rooster? Surely a Rooster imbued by magic can water walk?

The corehounds, cause they're so hot the water underneath them will instantly turn to steam and keep them effectively floating like a hovercraft.

You see, the name of the ability is "Water WALK" and most stuff listed here doesn't walk. Most things you guys said just fly or levitate, and while it makes sense for them to obviously levitate above water, it also makes sense to fly anywhere you want, but they don't, and it's because of gameplay.

The riverbeast being able to swim faster would be cool though, it's a hippo!
