Let's not forget the stuff like his hotels being used to curry favor, rewriting US policy to his business purposes, and using the bully pulpit to make business paths smoother.

Funny how the right wingers don't think him having a residence smack in the middle of NYC is a huge inconvenience to people "trying to get to work". Maybe even... ambulances? But of course the faux outrage from the right was never actually about caring about the inconvenience other people may face.

he cant make others feel a certain way. people hate the truth,... why you think so many posters here hate me. i tell them the truth and they get upset cause they dont want to hear it. i know, ive been there before. its human nature. you have to actively try to stop this behavior or it will continue to the day you die.

so what is your answer i didnt understand? you want to force her to move to the white house when he goes? and what about the time being? should we force them all to move? set em up in a bunker somewhere like we did to the japs during the war. why liberals dont mind violating a persons rights when they dislike that person. they literally campaign on human rights and equal blah blah but when given a chance they feel they should control people. yes i know the other side does the same but you both wrong. hope you can see it.

You realize this isn't a temporary arrangement until he's going to move into the White House, right? Trump will have two residences from the start because Melania and his son are going to stay in NYC. He has also expressed interest in not living at the white house 100% of the time.

People of Washington DC signed up for the inconvenience of having secret service all over the city as it's been like that for decades. NYC is getting the shit end of the stick and a huge chunk of it will basically be on lock down to keep Glorious Orange Leader safe. It'd be one thing if this was some temporary thing but that part of the city is going to be locked for at least 4 years, possibly 8.

isn't living in the white house part of the job description? guess that technically doesn't cover the entire family though.

he said he would live at the white house... and yes i understand it perfectly and also spelled it out pretty damn clearly what i think. for now nyc protect trump,. when he moves to the white house, only use secret service that is normally applied to a 1st lady to protect the 1st lady. that fucking simple. if she needs more protection then the trumps can pay for it. when the president goes to visit like he plans too then protection will need to be applied the same as if he went to any city. the president is free to move as he likes. we do not own him as much as you would like to think.

Lol... so in your head you think the security detail for the first lady isn't just as tight as the President's? Her having a permanent residence in NYC is going to be a huge pain in the ass for the city with or without Trump. Just l o l at Trump paying for it.

I know you love to pretend you're not partisan but that was a pretty sad attempt at it.

Yeah by the two of them being separate it's going to require more security personal than if they were together.

Nah apparently the First Lady just gets 2 mall cops with walkie talkies to stand outside a door to protect her.

Palpable fear does not equate to a spike in hate crimes. Another falsified article one steps at a time. It's going to make the EC change their mind.

they dont need any additional secret service to protect her... you going in circles here. she has dedicated protection whether shes with her husband or not. the place they do it is irrelevant. you people should be asking why the fuck is nyc spending so much to protect the president elect. where is the transparency?

What I mean is permanent security measures will have to take place not just temporary ones like whenever the first lady travels anywhere. I'm talking anyone with a snipers view of the building no longer able to access their balconeys/roofs. Streets being closed off permanently unless you have the clearance. All surrounding buildings will have heavy surveillance 24/7. It will be a hassle just to enter your home.

Do you think the security service just stands around looking intimidating or something?

It's incredible that people would defend him on this. It's been a part of the presidential family tradition that they must move to the white house. Donald Trump is showing, shockingly enough, yet again that he doesn't understand the position he's in.

And no, this has nothing to do with how unpopular he is. Every President has to have this kind of protection for reasons that should be obvious to anyone who's not dim as hell. He's basically spitting in the face of both New York and the SS by not complying with this. I say either they have to make an exception or his family has to move, making special exceptions for someone who ran for a position that he didn't understand the consequences of winning is not excusable and should not be to even the most mindless supporter.

It is almost like people think Obama's 2 children and wife didn't have their own secret service detail. You know all of that traveling Michelle was doing to put her face in the public? Ya it wasn't cheap.

Which is all temporary measures. A permanent residence will need far more security.

It's amazing how fiscally conservative Trump haters are now that he's been elected. I'm convinced that if he said he was going to open the borders, then lefties would be out there bricking up a wall on the border to spite him. Several presidents have had multiple places they worked and lived out of. George Bush had the ranch. Yes, NYC is a rough spot to have to have security and his family should move into the white house but lets be real here. You people just will criticize everything he does good or bad.

this is why its so hard to argue with people on this forum. misinformed even though several times its been stated several times in this thread that he is moving to the white house. that his wife and son will stay in nyc till end of school. its not cool to be ignorant in 2016 when things are so easily researched.

366 million / year is nothing compared to the USA welfare bill.

    http://www.usgovernmentspending.com/...0&meta=welfare

    Over $1000 BILLION.

    Keep going socialists. Keep going.
If you aren't a Socialist by age 20, you have no heart. If you are still a Socialist by age 40, you have no head.
The Left MUST appeal to the low paid white working class male if they want to regain ground. Rejecting them and castrating them in favour of a cheaper immigrant worker has backfired spectacularly.

all that is not needed to protect the 1st lady. shes not the president or even important. if she dies very little changes unless the president cant handle it and goes mental and in that case we replace him with the vice.
