Hmmm interesting, so along with Mcdonalds the HQ of BMW would look quite nice in London, as would the HQ of Moet & Chandon. However you salty Euros want to dress it up a company moving its international HQ from Europe to the UK is a win for the UK and a loss for Europe.

There's a reason that since the financial crisis the US economy has grown by 15% the UK by 8% and the EU by 0%.

Honestly the EU is the sick man of the globe who would want to do business there? Nobody it seems.

Yep, that´s how it is. Being a tax haven = having all the people work there.

There are buildings on the cayman islands that have 100.000 people working there because of that, it´s awesome! Oh wait, no they don´t, funny that.

Its not a shift of their HQ, its a moving of their tax residency. Those are not the same thing.

    For example this

one building in the caymans supposedly houses 20,000 corporate headquarters. In reality it does no such thing and its merely an empty building with some mailbox forwarding addresses. There is noone in there, there is noone working there, and there are no worker cars parked outside. Its all a shell game designed to avoid tax.

Its also a Government revenue generator.

One which the EU has just lost and the UK has just gained.

More funding for the NHS? Yes please. Thank you EU
If you aren't a Socialist by age 20, you have no heart. If you are still a Socialist by age 40, you have no head.
The Left MUST appeal to the low paid white working class male if they want to regain ground. Rejecting them and castrating them in favour of a cheaper immigrant worker has backfired spectacularly.

No it isn't. How does it generate revenue when the tax rate is zero?

Here's an example, the corporate income is $100 for xxx, with a tax rate of zero how much tax do they pay?

I love how you think this.

Its why Lefties should never be trusted with any practical economics whatsoever.

    All theory, no revenue.

No matter that you think otherwise, Brexit is the best thing to happen to the UK. We will fair much better without the evil EU shackles wrapped around our ankles.

Then tell me the tax paid when the rate is zero using my above example.

Unfortunately if all the countries with brain dead morons in them sank into the sea there would be no land left.

That's ok. I'm sure when the EU finally passes legislation against tax evasion by picking non-EU countries as their base of operation for their inner-EU business they will move out as quick as they moved in.

Nice try except Mcdonalds international doesn't operate from an empty building with a mailbox forwarding address in the Caymans. Neither did it when its international operations were based in Luxembourg, that's how it paid 2.5B in corporation tax to Europe. Neither will it when its international operations are based in a London HQ, that's how it will in future pay tax to the UK, not the EU.

Unless of course you think Mcdonalds will store their massive now tax free(ish) income as cash under a bed mattress in their London HQ and not do anything with it.

Don't fucking lie. It paid zero corporation tax in Europe. This is something we already know. We also know its Luxembourg headquarters were virtually empty of people

    https://www.ft.com/content/1f884f92-...5-b8b81dd5d080

The company is under investigation by Brussels over a tax ruling underpinning its European structure, which permitted McDonald’s to pay no corporation tax — either in the US or Luxembourg — on royalty income from restaurant franchises across Europe.

    and

    http://europe.newsweek.com/mcdonalds...x-309590?rm=eu

McDonald's has allegedly been moving money to a Luxembourg registered holding company - McD Europe Franchising Sàrl - which was set up in 2009 with intellectual property and franchising rights transferred to it as part of the company's European restructuring.

According to the report McD Europe Franchising Sàrl had 13 employees in 2013, and received more than €833 million in royalty payments that year.

The name and dogwolfshit of the logic, argumentation and comprehension of the topic remind me of FurryFoxWolf. Coincidentally enough, banned right now. Then again spelling and interpunction don't fit that well.
It's fun when you start getting good at picking up the way people speak on the forum.

There's another obvious one that cracks me up.

    Slick, they are not.

Its even more fun when others try to guess who you are and are miles off the mark.

I am literally me and this is my account.

There are 7 billion people on the planet, and literally a couple of hundred of political viewpoin variations that any of these people could have. Most of which could be further grouped into no more than 10.

And you are shocked when you discover more than one person with the same viewpoint.

    Seriously?

    No, no. Seriously?
