I seriously don't get it. He is becoming more neutral on certain issues and the leftists are having a heart attack that he isn't as crazy as they thought. Make up your minds. Trump is president now. You would think they would be ecstatic he is changing his positions. Currently, the leftists are the ones who are fueled by emotion and are out for vengeance. When I voted for him, I didn't support EVERYTHING he stood for, but I hoped he would grow into the position, learn a bit, and negotiate.

You didn't actually answer either of my questions. Do the ends justify the means? Should we accept politicians saying anything, including things they won't or can't do, just to get votes? If someone campaigns on certain ideas or actions, shouldn't they be scrutinized when they back away from said ideas or actions?

Or does it not matter what they say or do as long as your side wins?

As shown above, he explicitly said he would appoint a special prosecutor during the debates, and he brought it up repeatedly on the campaign trail. The fact that you are unaware of this tells me all I need to know about why you voted for him: You don't know what the hell you are talking about and didn't pay the slightest bit of attention.
