"Stop whining" - I wonder if he said that to the people who were angry with his decision to reduce the sentence of a guy who was jailed for manslaughter. Fuck this dude.

I mean, I've been saying the same shit on the forums since forever. Some of us aren't partisan hacks without critical thinking skills. The ACA is an improvement to QOL for a lot of Americans due to preexisting conditions being covered and offering health care to poor people, but it needs a lot of work.

I don't think it should be repealed outright, but the penalty for lack of coverage needs to go or be changed significantly. A big part of the problem is that if you lived in a state that did not approve an ACA expansion to Medicaid then poor people were just penalized for not having health care, thank your Republican congressmen for that one. Allowing insurance companies to compete across state lines is the one thing I agree with Trump with, it's a good idea. HSAs are a piss poor idea, especially Carson's proposed plan because it offers no buffer for infants and young children born with congenital birth defects or develop serious diseases like cancer at an early age.

Really though we need to start addressing healthcare bloat. It's not in the salaries of overworked health care practitioners, the bloat is in health care administration and insurance company billing.

I know if only they were as accepting as republicans have been of Obama these last 8 years /s
Um. He was governor for a while. He isn't an ordinary celebrity.

And now we have the lovely Democrat fearmongering meme of "Nazis and KKK out to deport and kill gays and minorities because Trump won" to the pile of "Retarded things people say when they lose an election".

There are crazy people on both sides. That's why I pointed it out - it is disingenuous to act like this is the first and only election to have people on either side flipping their lids.

But this is the election where Democrats decided to abandon "Being above hate" and descended into the same baby town antics that a lot of us were making fun of Republicans for.

I think my party should be treated the same way they treat others for doing such things.

That's because the anti-Obama crowd was astroturfed. These are actual people with legitimate concerns about their future.

How do you reckon that would work? Trump won the election by acting like a whiny crybaby. If anything, that strategy would be more likely to win the Democrats the next election.

They're just emulating what our future leader does. If you don't want people to act that way, don't lead by that example. It's not that complicated.

Did we have ones on the right give such an exhausted effort to delegitimize Obama presidency? did we have ones on the right send death threats to the EC members to change their vote to keep Obama from getting elected? did ones on the right run TV adds to convince the EC to change their vote? did ones on the right demand a recount on such flimsy evidence to do so?

You trying to make an equivalency is laughable at best

Moral grandstanding gets you nowhere, yes. That is why we have free license to stop the alt-right by any means necessary.

Yes, the right are the ones sending death threats, no, and no, but I would have been fine with the latter. The electoral college was created specifically to stop people like Trump from attaining office.

Exactly. Civility is dead. No tactic is off the table. You sowed the bitter fruit of incivility, and are now whining about the taste. Deal.

Actually, no you don't. Anti-fascists, like Black Lives Matter, have free license to stop fascism by any means necessary.

Pretty much, it's been getting worse and worse though. Who knows, next election we might end up with two candidates that are both more terrible than either of the ones we've had this past one. Hard to imagine, but not impossible.
"Believing something is not an accomplishment. The stronger your beliefs are, the less open you are to growth and wisdom, because “strength of belief” is only the intensity with which you resist questioning yourself. Listen to any “die-hard” conservative or liberal talk about their deepest beliefs and you are listening to somebody who will never hear what you say on any matter that matters to them — unless you believe the same. Wherever there is a belief, there is a closed door."

Democrats are not a hivemind, nor are Republicans.

There are still Democrats that are saying to be above hate, just like I'm sure there's Republicans out there protesting Trump's victory.

I have not seen a single TV ad against Trump now, but what do you think the whole "BIRTH CERTIFICATE" thing was?

The issue here is, even with hating Obama, they couldn't attack him based on his qualifications and experience. I mean, at least he was in politics before hand, so instead they had to focus on the birth certificate (Which if I had a nickle for every time I heard that over the last 8-9 years....).

Well, that would be impossible, as socialism wasn't first envisioned until over 30 years after the Constitution was ratified. But subservience to foreign powers and demagoguery sure as hell were.
