Any info when are we going to be able to use our old heirlooms for 100-110?

You could upgrade the Heirlooms in WoD to be usable to 100.

They probably need to be reminded that they've other systems which need to be maintained besides artifact AP grind. Just tweet them and it'll most likely be in for 7.2, unless they plan a rework for them also.

Probably 7.3. WoD's heirloom update came in pretty late in what passed for its patch cycle.
Be seeing you guys on Bloodsail Buccaneers NA!

I would guess, 7.2/3. When it is actually needed to boost alt leveling.

Well, there are other things that are more important than the heirlooms though, even the AP system is more important.

Legion leveling is such a grind when you have done it already once. It would be a most welcome change. Not to mention that you get your ass kicked even by regular mobs as your damage is super low when you enter a legion zone until you get your first few upgrades.

Just like WoD in the start, you might struggle till you get the first level, then it is smooth.

The prepatch for the next expansion or the next expansion.

Which was, IIRC, the only time in WoW's history thus far an heirloom could be used to the maximum level during a given expansion. I doubt it's setting a standard.. To be honest, while I liked the upgrade, I was never really sure why they let it go so high.

I am not saying it would or should be a standard (though I wouldn't mind it, honestly.) But yes, that was the only time. I was just correcting the post above me.

I think that was because WoD had close to no content so they wanted people to at least enjoy their leveling experience. Who knows.

I believe one of the devs said they didn't want to upgrade the looms until the next expansion. That they'll stay 100 until after Legion / during pre-launch of the next expansion.
And i think that's fair. They shouldn't raise the looms to 110* until the end of the expansion

    *typo

I would like if they added heirloom gloves next, just for the sake of collection and stuff.

Aye, I didn't think you were saying that, sorry it came across like I was correcting you. Just adding to what you were saying in regards to the OP.

What have they even got next? Gloves, belts, wrists and boots?

Just realised they probably can't let us upgrade our heirlooms to 110 until after Legion, anyway, because that would allow for weapons other than Artifacts to be used throughout the leveling process.

*facepalm* why do people keep apologizing needlessly to me.

And yes indeed, that leaves ... gloves, belts, bracers and boots. That would be literally "full heirlooms".

Why not considering how bad heirlooms scaled in WOD? ilvl 605 @ 100 IIRC. That was pretty much useless at 100, even quests rewarded better gear, not to mention Tanaan tokens, Garrison missions, and crafted gear. If 100-110 scaling will be as bad as WOD one I don't see any harm enabling Heirloom scaling ATM.

I think they want you to do all the zones to get all the rep tbh, it's because rep is so important in this expansion.
And currently in WoD, you'll reach 100 within the first 2-3 zones with looms. Just as how you can reach 90 in MoP by doing Jade Forest alone

Shouldn't really need it. The 840 plus 101 gear is essentially an heirloom. Either way game has been out what, 5 months, not even? Maybe in 7.2.

They scaled to max level when they were introduced too, back in Wrath I think.

Hmm.. I don't feel like that was the case, I remember wondering if we'd be able to upgrade them while I was collecting them from the Argent Tournament, but I could have been doing that a while into Cataclysm, too, so they might have been up to 80 back then. Maybe I was thinking about the future.
