How to use Draught of Souls?

I have seen posts saying

1. Use DoS at the last 3 seconds of Meta.

Why? Why not use it after meta is over?

Should we use it off CD or wait 40 seconds to time it with Chaos Blades?

Most actually say to use it out of meta, reasoning is because annihilation > DoS tick.

Keep checking back because I heard they only just discovered that you continue to auto-attack during DoS. One of the SimC mods on the discord said that they're considering/evaluating just using DoS when your cds are up and rolling, and not just outside of meta. But nothing confirmed yet.

I have DoS 880 and I am using 860 trinket from world boss Jim that gives all stats.. I have bigger dmg that way :-( Tried using DoS when I have nothing else and during nemesis and chaos blades! It can also reset the CD on felblade so not that useless :-)

Example: I prepot>meta start bursting all cds are up millions of dmg are popping and suddenly I am fury starved (this happens sometimes) then I would pop DoS and in 80ish% of the case it resets the cd on felblade so I can start doing something

you could weave it in when you're fury starved but ring 2set and 4set all minimize it.

its not as awesome as other trinks for us.

Our trinket spreadsheet includes the basic conditions of when you want to use it. Check first to make sure you should even be using it over other trinkets you have.

Scroll to the bottom for Draught details. The optimal time to use it is during Nemesis (and Chaos Blades, when possible) but never during Meta. If you're going to pop Nemesis/CB/Meta together (such as on the pull) you want to Nemesis and Chaos Blades, then use Draught, then Meta once the Draught completes.

No, there's actually a post on the Rogue forums explaining exactly why this is false. There's pretty much nobody better than a Warrior in terms of DoS output.
