You can't dislike it as a concept, you can dislike the execution.
How on earth could you disagree with everyone being equal?

I haven't read much Marx I so won't comment on that, but he IS considered by most people, communists included, as the most influential figure behind communism. Whatever other topics and ideas he wrote on, communism became his legacy.

He's still regarded as a very smart man, I don't see any hate towards the other stuff he wrote, people just think he's really wrong about communism.

Are there even countries that are truly communist? Most if not all are more a dictatorship or military ruled and arent that different from a capatalist country with poor and rich people.

But tbh don't recall people ever hating Marx tho.

Oh honey... No. Marx had -nothing- to do with it...
The people who ran your country are at fault.

Also, I don't think you can explain and brush it off as being lazy and on your phone. It's ok.

    This, 100% this.
Never in my entire life have I heard just one person expressing hatred for Marx.
That would be outright idiotic anyway. He was just a philosopher, and one of the great ones in human history.

Yet, let's say someone does indeed express hatred for him, then what about Lenin and Engels?
Mhm.. In regards of communism those two are just as important, one of em even attempting to put theory to the test.

I dont think he would have, since most of his work on capitalism are proven right even now. Marx did not think capitalism was dumb or an error. He simply thought it was unstable, which we know it is. He thought it would adapt alot for a long time. It does, example wages staganation since the 70s , came about the rise of credit cards and mortgage as a means to keep economy working. Which as Marx would point out simply cause another problem eventually that capitalism will need to fix again.

Marx still thought of capitalism as the fastest way towards progress.

In short most people know nothing of Marx and only know some quotes from the communism menifesto like the working class breaking their chains. Without ever reading most of it either.

All communist inspired countries were indeed military dictatorships. The more modern approach of the last couple decades is excessive oligarchy.

His ideas were also influential in developing various idiotic social theories that are still with us, notably the synthesis starting in the Frankfurt and culminating in anti-materialist, postmodern critical theory. Of course Marx can't be entirely blamed for that and the term "cultural Marxism" is mostly used as a snarl word, but his influence on academia is basically poison.

Because he was wrong and his model proved a failure:
    - Agricultural nations leaped towards socialism not industrialized as marx envisioned
    - While he opposed socialism as envisioned by the USSR his early ideas were the justification for it and the following dictatorships. I.E His idea that the economy was the most important thing.
    - His LTV is also wrong. I would love to see marxists explain wine.

There are more but that I can't recall but bradford delong does provide even more criticism to it.

Capitalism just happens, it's not unstable. You have two tribes on an island out in the Pacific. One day they meet and trade six pig carcasses for 3 pounds of salt, the guys who got the salt made a profit because salt is hard to harvest and requires a lot of work, but both sides are happy. Capitalism happened, there's nothing unstable or evil about it.

Karl Marx toward the end of his life was against forms of violent revolution against capitalism. So linking him to the USSR is just ass?

PS for this forum. Karl Marx actually envisioned Globalism as the largest form of capitalism (which it is) so its kinda ironic to see donald trump followers in agreement with Marx.

    Why do people hate Hitler?

This is exactly the kind of people who hate him. If a person "hates philosophy" he doesn't understand what philosophy is. Consequently, they misinterpret Karl Marx and blaim him for the existance of people who use 0.01% of his philosophy as a decoy for totalitarianism, corruption and other nasty things.

Because his wayward and frankly idiotic ideas were picked up by lunatics and it caused the death of hundreds of millions of people.

Communism proposes that human nature can be changed such that utopia can be unleashed, and he then proposes a power vacuum and expects not one person in the whole world to try to fill it. It's completely mad, and it doesn't work. Ever.

"Being equal" seems like a misleading way to describe it. Equal in what? Law? Opportunity? Reward?

Corruption is the main cause of your country's economic condition.
Not a workers party that was in power for 13 years.
Brazil was known as a developing, even underdeveloped country ever since. The PT was in charge from 2003 til 2016...
The opposite is actually true for today's times. Brazil is a growing economy.

I am sure there was a joke with the "one day they meat" and then you edited it.. Bah. It fit so well with the six pig carcasses
