Bloodlet + Bracers vs First Blood with Bladedancer's Grace and Chaotic Onslaught

After unlocking Bladedancer's Grace, I immediately simmed both specs.

Using Bloodlet, I simmed at 785k DPS.

Using First Blood, I simmed at 790k DPS.

Considering the difference is less than 1%, it got me thinking.

Ignoring the fact that the bloodlet rotation is much simpler as you Chaos Strike more often and don't have to worry about making sure to Blade Dance on CD, wouldn't this mean that Chaotic Onslaught might tip it back in Bloodlet's favor?

I haven't been able to figure out how to add a point into Chaotic Onslaught to sim, but I figure it makes sense as you'd want to use Chaos Strike more often, and not using blade dance will free up more resources and globals for Chaos Strikes.

My SimC says 862k with 222X3111. And if I swap to Mo'arg and run 223X3111 it's 825k. If I do Momentum instead of Nem, it drops to 795k (this is all with Chaotic Onslaught).

So my SimC says... keep on with our normal spec.

I'll play around with it. Might be that you're haste is allowing you to fit in extra death sweeps which makes it worth it.

I feel like this is correct.

My experiences are limited to Normal and Heroic full clears of NH, but in any fight where you can bounce your glaive off something and apply Bloodlet, I will inevitably beat DHs that use Ring + Other Legendary combos with First Blood even if you slowly creep up over time as opposed to the blitzkrieg of using the Belt. On fights with consistent 2-3+ targets to bounce Throw Glaive off + Bloodlet it tends to not even be much of a competition between DHs that have it vs. those who don't. For obvious reasons this isn't a great setup for Trilliax and Krosus, and those same DHs I dunk on in cleave fights shit in my mouth on ST fights unless I get RNG lucky on Fury generation, though you can still be respectable with Bracers + Bloodlet even on those fights.

You don't take bloodlet on a single target fight with CO. But on a cleave fight or anything with 2+ target, bloodlet + moarg are slightly better.

At pull with lust etc. to get only 3 "circles" for P2 & P3.

I've tried both. Firstblood with Blade Dance and thereby Annihilation seems best on singletarget but once u can hit two targets for the bleed effect, especially Botanist Mythic where I can get Glaive to hit primary target either 2nd or 3rd, the bleed+glaive damage is much better.

I go bloodlet on every NH fight. If i had belt i would only use it on krosus.

I very rarely cast blade dance at all, ever. I spam chaos strike, when an add pops up I throw glaive.
