Just think if everyone put their carts away there would be no jobs for the cart collectors.

False. They'd still have to retrieve carts from the outside corrals to replenish the inside of the store, and as most cart collectors have multiple separate duties within the company, it would free them up for more important tasks and improve the overall customer experience inside that establishment.
