What exactly about the election, should lead democrats to believe that experience in the senate, be it successful or not... or any experience in government... is actually needed? If anything, it should have them clamoring to get the Rock to run... I'm saying they need to go after Paris Hilton. What does Trump have that she doesn't?

You say this as though what Trump can actually accomplish has less to do with it than whoever the Dems put up.

Whoever it is will almost certainly be a more favorable candidate than Hillary Clinton. If Trump doesn't have any major accomplishments to point to, people are going to stop buying in.

But Elizabeth Warren is way too out there. Nothing she wants would get through Congress and few are even sound for America in this time. She's the extreme of the party, and you think she's going to appeal to middle America? That's why Trump won. He appealed to the Everyman. The guy who didn't grow up downtown in a major city. The guy working a blue collar job 40+ hours a week to keep their family fed and housed, who thinks Politicians should be talking about their issues and how their healthcare premiums rised and coverage dropped instead of some Syrian or entitled 22 year old that doesn't get called the madeup pronoun they read on buzzfeed yesterday and their inability to afford an apartment downtown in NYC. There's never going to be a Bernie revolution because it's not a realistic outcome.

Sanders spoke better to the average worker than Hillary ever could, just given her reputation. His campaign was a primarily economic message- farther to the left, yes, but far less about "identity politics" than the establishment Democrats'

Trump was already extremely unpopular. That's only gotten worse after all the fucking up since January. Another few years of this and anyone connected to his administration will be toxic. You can forget Pence accomplishing anything in 2020. A conservative that hasn't/won't give much support to Trump will have to show up and be able to legitimately claim he didn't agree with how Trump ran things. Anyone that is now excusing all of the failures and hypocrisy won't have credibility.
