Deadwood Movie. The script is complete.

Assemble the hoopleheads, rile up the man-eating pigs, and notify Powers Boothe: yet another actor has chimed in confirming that the script for the long-promised Deadwood finale movie has finally been finished and turned in to HBO. Last month, star Ian McShane said a script for David Milch’s beloved swear-Western had made its way to the network. Now, co-star W. Earl Brown—a.k.a. professional henchman Dan Dority—has confirmed that the completed script is making its way among the show’s cast.

Can't believe its been 10 years.

    God I hope it's good.

The original series is still one of my highest rated shows ever. Watched it again recently and I forgot just how good the writing was.

    Without a doubt.

I can't think of one single actor in the entire show that did not put on a great performance, even the small trivial ones.

I really enjoyed season 1 but never made it far into season 2. I lost interest after Anna Gunn's character (Martha Bullock) was introduced. Every scene she was in I couldn't help but see her as her Breaking Bad character of which I despised. If the finally actually gets made I will attempt to start the series over from the beginning. As an aside I watched all of Justified because I enjoyed Olyphant's portrayal in both shows.

She wasn't around long if that helps.

Am I the only one who hoped this would be a Deadpool movie?

Who is Deadwood? Sounds like a Groot solo movie

Wait till you realize there are movies that aren't about superheroes. It's a whole world out there. Your mind will be fucking blown.

I'm pretty damned stoked that a few of my fav series from growing up are getting that final touch they deserve.

    Hype is real here.

Started re-watching the show after not having watched it since back when show was new. Over the years it had remained high on my list of recommendations to other people. Rewatching...my memory was not doing it justice. I'd forgotten just how much I loved this show. What a shame it only lasted a few seasons. Hope they make the movie just as great as the series was.

Sadly you won't get it, they're too historically accurate for that. I'd recommend actually reading up on the history of the place, the TV series is somewhat loyal. http://www.bhpioneer.com/deadwood/hb...6295c9eff.html
