More likely, Comey was fired because he was distrusted on all sides and could no longer lead effectively.
Source w knowledge of wh discussions tells me senior officials did not think firing james comey would be a big political explosion.

Seems like he is that dumb.

There's plenty of evidence. He lies constantly, puts friends and donors who are completely unqualified into positions of power, and pushes for legislation that will line his own pockets. That sounds like corruption to me. His staff is filled with lobbyists and shady assholes who broke laws on multiple occasions regarding foreign relations. Not only that, his transition team illegally duplicated classified information, and removed it from a SCIF. Remember when people wanted Hillary in prison for less?

Are you saying those things did not happen?

You actually think evidence means anything to voters?

If you think that a president who attempts to exonerate himself, in a letter firing the head of an organization who is investigating said president, is "sitting pretty" the delusion in your neck of the woods is all encompassing.

It's about time. The idea of "re-opening" the investigation of Hillary Clinton less than 2 weeks before the election then dismissing the case again was absurd and ridiculously incompetent. It unquestionably that he didn't handle the investigation properly the 1st time around and it looked 10x's worse that he re-opened the case only dismiss it again in less than a week. I am no Hillary Clinton fan, matter of fact I greatly despise her, but Comey essentially destroyed Clinton's bid for President. I guess you could label Trump's action "poetic justice." After all, Comey's incompetence greatly contributed to Trump's winning the US Presidency.

Well, there was plenty of evidence of Trump's lies and corruption, and the voters didn't care. So, no... they do not care about evidence.

And the timing doesn't concern you one fucking bit?
Everyone so far that's been investigating him has been fired...you can't possibly be claiming you put american interests ahead of russian...Goddamn

Trump zealots need to get their collective asses to Russia...

Doesn't matter in this position. If Trump didn't like him for how he handled the Hillary investigation he should have fired him as soon as he got into office. Why did he wait so long? Why is he doing this when the media is all quiet about his Russian connections? The FBI is investigating his campaign for it and now Comey is being fired? Coincidences don't exist.

So, are you saying those things did not happen? I want to be sure that is what you are saying. Please be clear in your answer.

As for me, I was going to be upset, no matter who was President.

I can't see how there isn't going to be an independent commission now. Any new appointee to head the FBI is going to be tainted as being appointed by Trump and compromised. Trump has fucked himself with this move. The republicans want to cover for him but they are not going to stick their necks out to the extent they get beheaded. Imagine them going into the mid-terms and democrats screaming cover-up left right and center. They are going to have enough problems as is without any of that.

Considering that Comey was in part responsible for Trump winning the elction, I'd say Trump was an ungrateful bastard...had it been deliberate.

It's a fact that they interfered. What remains in question is if Dumbass Dump was in concous collusion with them or not.

I answered your stupid observations that it was onDumps "inteligence" that won the electoral college dummies, and that you pretend Russia had no influence on the Stupids that voted for him.

The problem is that the independent commission or counsel are going to be relying on the FBI who will have a director who is beholden to Trump...the person with the most to lose. AN independent commission isn't a failsafe nor a panacea.

"Well it's better than nothing" is not an acceptable standard.
