Across the decades... maybe across history, it is a recurring theme: those who attempt to control or moderate a would be authoritarian figure invariably end up being controlled by that figure.
It never works and the "well maybe Mattis and Tillerson will be adults in the room" line was just the same repackaged bullshit that always fails.
And as a matter of principle, in the United States of America, if we have to do that, we've done something dreadfully wrong.
The pro-trump people trying to defend this.....so hilarious and sad at the same time.
See here is the problem with this country as it stands. The 'People' who live in thos country have ZERO power other than votes. It is the "Republic" of Government that has the true power. And the Republicans who now control the country COMPLETELY are going to let this shitshow keep rolling so long as it lets them keep pushing their civil war against Democrats until they destroy everything and get all they wanted done.
NO Republican is going to get enough headway to get this (please find a good enough word for stupid for me) man out of office, because they can now get all they have been wanting for the past 30-50 years or so completed. And in NO FUCKING Way am I saying Democrats are any better. All of the Countries politicians have blood on their hands for getting this (again please find a good enough word for stupid for me) man into office.
Impeachment will never happen and it is sad that I can say that with almost complete certainty.
Its also a shitty point and shows how little faith they have in someone.
I also notice it is his supporters who say this..... (not claiming the person you are quoting is a supporter)
Most of the people have no fucking idea whats going on in the heads of Trumps cabinet, some may have never been heard of before being put in the cabinet. Some probably just stick to their specific job. There job is not to control Trump and you have other people going for the same influence.
Too many ppl watch dumb TV shows like house of cards and game of thrones and see reality in it some how when it comes to politics. Sure, a show like house of cards can be based on reality, but its a script, its in its own universe, only some characters are meant to have the cogs moving in their heads and thus does not truely reflect what reality can be.
Hey remember when an unnamed source named "Deep Throat" brought down a President last time? And how Deep Throat wasn't known for 40 years until it turned out to be FBI Deputy Director Mark Felt?
Be careful with what you wish for when you want names named. Leaking is very rarely some low level 30 year old guy trying to be a hero. It's almost always an official by a faction or interest (like out of a Senators office), or someone senior and in the know.
I wouldn't be surprised if one of the people that is an anonymous source for the Post (though probably not the originator) is McMaster or Dina Powell. Or somebody else senior on the NSC staff.
That is _exactly_ how this works. The Bradley Manning and Edward Snowdens of the world are the exception. The General Cartwrights of the world are the rule.
You guys need to learn how to read. This is tiring.
Everyone, including Trump's tweets say it was about terrorism and civil airlines.
Even if the information was classified, which everyone that isn't anonymous has said it wasn't thus far, Executive Order 13526 protects his right to declassify terrorist information on his own whim.
All you're going to see is the story disappear with a bunch of sad, boring "Well remember when he was accused of" in the aftermath for future events, and the media using reactionary inbreds to start talking about this non-story over all the other crap happening now. Seth Rich is a better story right now and I'm pretty sure it's all tinfoil.
This is not about ISIS at all. Russia is not a friend/ally/pal/mother in law of the West and Trump gave away intel collected by actual allies, who don't consider Russia to be a friend/ally/pal/mother in law. It's a breach of confidence, it's Kyle behaving like Cartman.
If Russians drop bomb on asset that provided this information then yeah i could be really bad, thats kinda the point here clearly Russia doesn't have working relation with country that this intel came from and for Trump to just tell anything about this to Russians put people at risk.
Just to add
Looks like people claim this was unfounded
They continue to do so
Except Trump has confirmed it
However Trump is claiming it was something he was allowed to do and stuff that was not that important
Except people who support him (or will claim to be super duper independent and would never support him, but the libs turned them off because tumblr exists even though they have no political influence or power) seem to still think its totally made up.
Trump: I have 'absolute right' to share facts with Russia
Trump’s comments appeared to acknowledge reports Monday that he disclosed highly classified intelligence information to the Russian foreign minister and ambassador during an Oval Office meeting last week — contradicting carefully worded denials issued by his own White House. The move was met with condemnation from Democrats, and some Republicans, on Capitol Hill, who said the revelation could jeopardize intelligence sources on the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) and make allies more reluctant to share intelligence with the U.S.

Meanwhile, WH Staff is feeling a tad frustrated with the Orange Skull
Just to reiterate for the "independents" (before skroe has a heart attack)
Source claims it
People say this is unfounded
Trump confirms it
Trump states it was not important info and would have been shared anyway (this should be our debate)
People say this is unfounded
Same people believed Pizzagate
