Right, it's a bad analogy and not an equivalency. At least it supports your world view, though, am I right?

Some people truly are fine with it. And some are for the idea as long as it's not their A turning into a B or C.
Money and grades aren't similar by a long shot. Grades are proof of an education that you've learned. That's it. What proof do you have that you can do the quadratic formula? Your grades are proof.

Money on the other hand is just an IOU. That's it, I just summed up money. The value of this IOU is based entirely on the productivity output of a country. Hell, a single Bitcoin is like worth $3k American dollars. A currency you farm by mining it with a computer. A society as a whole gives that money value. It's an agreement that your dollar is worth that much in pounds or Euros.

And the idea is we're heading towards a future where a job might be impossible to get, thanks to automation. The value of money is still retained so long as the productivity of your country doesn't drop. Which it won't cause automation doesn't lower productivity. People still need money to live, so it makes sense to give those people money. Giving people grades serves no purpose unless the person is mentally challenged. And you can't share grades cause that makes no sense. There is no logic behind this, besides making people relate to the situation and hating socialism.

It's like me saying, "do you wanna share your achievement points in games with others". You would say, "of course not". Then why do we want to share pudding with others? That's your pudding, you earned it. You deserve it. It's the same stupid logic.

This diatribe of defense, all over logical deconstruction of an argument and then using that logic in a way that isn't equivalent to try to make a point that people are hypocrites, except they aren't actually hypocrites because the logic used wasn't equivalent. This wonderful circle we dance for people who clearly don't understand the minutia of logical debating.

So can you quote where I said they had the exact same definitions? If not I don't see what your point was.

I'm so fucking sick of this conservative bullshit.

All they do is jerk off over the stupidest false equivalences while ignoring facts, reason, logic, common sense and decency.

I wonder how these members of the Me Party would feel if we asked them....what if the professor only taught the lecture to 1% of the class then graded everyone the same....because that is more like what is happening in the world.

No one is asking for all the money to be redistributed like that.

I'm fine with it at schools where students inherit their parent's GPA.

This thread has taught me one thing for sure. There are way too many people interested in redistribution of wealth than I realized. I used to find the republicans worries of incoming socialism to be bullshit, but man so many of you guys really are defending it as if it's a great thing.

Its important to note that the fringe left on this forum dont represent the majority of sane Americans.

Additionally, the generation graduating from college now and over the next 5 years are predicted to be the most conservative in generations, thanks in part to the lunatic vocal left like nexx, vegas, and advanta

So we are back to, "What is a synonym"?

And here I was just beginning to think we made progress.

If they are analogous as pets that would also mean they are equal as pets.....

Did I just replace the word analogy with equal? OMG you said it couldn't be done!!!!! what have I done!!!!!!

You seem like you are sooo close to getting it. Then just fall flat on your face......

Who's defending it? We're calling bullshit on an invalid comparison while conservative wackjobs are saying, 'hur dur, we gots dem stoopid liberals!'

But really, what is it with conservatives and their constant fixation with trying to troll college students?
Some conservatives think that all there is at Universities and such are just all left wing liberals indoctrinating the youth today. They seem to fail on the account that generally in the business and economic school/college is conservative leaning. I guess they target college students since these are suppose to be the best and the brightest in the country.

That is not true at all. Please show me where this is stated in any way.

Also as per your statement at the end. Both are logically false.

Redistribution of wealth can mean a lot of different things, not just that one takes money from the rich and just throws it into the streets of poor districts.

The fact some here think wealth should be distributed is fucking disturbing

Seems rather stupid on both ends. I can't imagine why there is no traction for the idea of going away with grades entirely and focusing on making a degree into a certificate that assumes the student passed all basic qualities of competence by completing the program. The degree in itself should be a quality of assurance. It's not like academia or job providers use all kinds of other mental gymnastics to weed out applicants anyway.
