Where it makes the difference is where people syncing cd's pack in more envenoms, more poison damage, into each 9 second use of tb.

If you just use it on cd and all you get is 1-2 envenoms and some dp dot and dp instant damage, then that's sub optimal by a large margin.

If you don't proc poison bombs, and if your TB uptime is smaler you have less chance of having one procing while TB is up, you could say you cast TB if PB procs, but then youre not sincing anymore, unless you wait a lot. Also if you cast less TBs you waste the TB damage itself, wich hits harder than a 5cp Envenom, that is a big factor in the discussion. Im all for the sincing, rotation gets a lot smoother, it just so happens it does not make much difference. You guys can say whatever, go check the dammed logs, there are rogues doing it either way and ranking everywhere on the totempole.

Just to be clear Im not saying that just casting it whilly nilly yields the same results, Im saying that pooling enery and casting it when you are like 3-4 cps then proceeding to imediatly envenom refill your cps and envenom again yields the same result as sitting on it to line it with KB, you can do the first without ever having to wait more than 1-2 secs on the cd if youre planing ahead.

So what rotation are you all using with TB? When do you TB? As soon as you garrote from stealth? After opener right before kingsbane? What do you all do?

Assuming you have the shoulders, the only cooldown you really need to line everything up with is vanish. Beyond that, you use toxic blades on cd always, you just make sure to pool before its off cooldown so you get more than just 1 or 2 envenoms off. That's it, everything else is just swings with poison bombs. Always holding a cooldown as short as tb all the time is a dps loss no matter how you slice it. Also, more tb uptime=more of a chance a poison bomb happens during it.

delaying TB makes absolutely no sense imo. the cd is way to short to waste even seconds. too fast you gonna loose a full additional usage.

Yes it does. It buffs Deadly Poison, Envenom, Poison Bomb, From The Shadows (vendetta golden trait) and Kingsbane.

Well, sounds simple but its. It also didnt feel right to hold it back to me so i used it on cooldown but somestimes during TB it felt like i was not getting the maximum benefit of it. I sent you a PM with the warcraft log where you can check urself and compare two rogues who played two different playstyles and who performed way better.

I took a break in the middle of EN and came back when our guild had NH on heroic farm so I haven't been up to date with stats and all.
But when did Versatility become a higher prio than Crit?

When EN started it was Mastery and Crit at the top so I've continued to base my gear around that
I do decent numbers, but I guess they would be better with Versa instead^^

Hey guy´s, just a quick question,

what are the best relics to use on the weapon? Is it like Icy Veins suggest?

1. Master Assassin
2. Gushing Wound
3. Toxic Blades
4. Master Alchemist
5. Balanced Blades
6. Serrated Edge
7. Poison Knives
8. Strangler

and if so, how much ilvl difference has every relic by skill?

For example if i have 2 relics one with Gushing Wound 905ilvl and one with Master Assassin 895ilvl the Master Assassin will be better because the Vendetta CD reduction is like having 20ilvl more.

I hope i could make myself clear since english is not my native language.

the differences are very tiny.
take what you like beetwen shoulder/bracer/boots and probably head. im going with bracer+boots without problems

Right now we are quite solid, we realy didn't need a buff or a nerf. After the tiers we might need a little buff, lets see how it all ends up after the first week of Tomb and the tier buffs get factored in.

Killars seems to be killing it (heh) with Assassination so far in Tomb: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/reports...tical&fight=14. Pretty consistently beating his Sub buddy.

He's also wearing boots, which surprises me.

I looked through his logs and tried to find some "secret", and all I saw is that he uses TB, KB, Vendetta off CD. Holds Vanish for a burst period.

Hopefully there's more to it, cause if not, what a fucking mongoloid spec they've turned this into. You could literally macro TB, KB, and Vendetta into Mutilate and push 1 button most of the fight.

i've been ignoring syncing kb completely, unless it coincides naturally.

I focus more on maximizing TB use, in particular with vendetta and vanish. In other words, using everything on cd, pooling and prepping slightly for tb uses.

I get consistently better results vs a better geared rogue syncing tb to kb. same legendaries.

It's much more of a shitshow though, chaotic rotation.

tldr: i'm not surprised, doing same thing.

Dont overestimate the first day of parses :-)

Nevertheless I came to the same conclusion to use everything on CD several weeks ago.

Most guys overestimate the synergy of syncronizied spells. You can delay abilities to receive the highest dps spikes or you can use abilities on cooldown to lower the down spikes of your dps. A delay of an ability must not only catch up the sacrificed uptime but also the sacrificed increased dps of your standard rotation in those time frames.
