The one class to play wow with

Okay. Let's do something that does not involve 7.3 or 8.0 as a relaxation.

Here's the deal. We all know the classes. We all see how relevant they (or their corresponding society: Cenarion Circle, Earthen Ring, Ebon Blade etc.) are to the story. We all have an idea how fun they are to play, how many legendaries they can obtain, how cool their order hall/campaign/artifact weapon/champions are, and how their equipment looks.

Taking all of this into consideration, if you could only pick one class. One single class. As if Blizzard one day decided to remove all classes from the game except for one. Which class would be it? Which is THE world of warcraft class?

I'm not including Demon Hunter in the Poll as it skips over almost the entire game.

Paladin. WotLK is the best expansion to many people, and that was the time when Retribution Paladins were at best and the most fun to play as - so you know, total proof that if they can figure out how to make Retribution good, they know how to make a great expansion!

Assuming they didn't revamp current specs or add new ones in, we only have three classes that are each able to fill every roll: druid, paladin, monk. Of those, I think druid would be the best option, as already mentioned, because it can fulfill every role in a group.

To be fair since they came with MoP they don't have much story dedicated to themselves in the 1-85 range and their order hall story is about making some beer. I love playing monk but let's be honest. They are at a disadvantage.
