Wondering if i want to go a druid, either balance or feral. I wanted to ask what feral is good at, as i see balance do good in raids and mythic+. What does feral do good?

Ferals excel at sending class hall followers on missions
One of the hardest and unforgiving rotation, mediocre single target damage, pathetic AoE damage, slow ramp up, horrible target switch, great mobility, can be fun if you like to play on ultra brutal difficulty settings.
But stick to whatever you like the most. Outside of high end raiding, mythic+ pushing and Recount whoring shouldn't really matter what you play.
You can be just fine in raids.. But you need a very welcoming guild to allow you to do your thing.
Well, i am a casual player and we just finished ToS normal and are going into Heroic. I play a sin rogue and top the meter ever raid. But i dont really like the rotation of sin rogue anymore and want a change. I wil not raid mythic and push more than +15 m+. So its casual raiding and m+ 10-15 usualy.
Quickly getting through ICC when farming for Invincible.
I am a main spec boomkin. I have taken to doing my daily heroics as feral with brutal slash. I was prompted to do this when my 923 thunderchicken was out aoe'd by a 882 arms warrior. Stuff just dies too fast these days. Feral can do some nice burst aoe.
We don't excel at anything unfortunately. We're respectable at single target DPS and killing low HP adds with burst AoE if specced/equipped properly, but that's about it.
We aren't in an enviable spot.
Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh. You touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.
You exist because we allow it, and you will end because we demand it.

Mass Effect
They can look really good. The mage tower challenge skin is very cool.
You're letting the warrior get to mobs before you've killed them? Mostly random heroics are que as healer boomkin and kill 60% of dungeon yourself. meme spec with warrior of elune.
My advice. Steer clear until 7.3 hits. Everything with feral right now is a struggle. And only masochists are enjoying it.
Want to feel like a true predator, lurking in the shadows, suddenly pouncing on enemies and clawing them to death? Well, then you're in a wrong place. Feral is anything BUT that.
Unless you're doing just daily heroics where Brutal Slash is viable, you're going to be forced into the Holy Trinity of Feral Talents: Savage Roar, Bloodtalons and Jagged Wounds. These talents make this spec as painful as it is currently possible and if you refuse to have them, you're useless. It's as simple as that.
Savage Roar is something you are going to keep up 24/7 as it increases all your damage by 25%. Apparently someone at Blizzard thought it was time to throw all the duration changes made throughout the expansions to trash. 24 seconds on 5 combo points is IIRC the shortest we've ever had. During WoD we could have a little over a minute. Have fun constantly trying to keep an eye on this, along with the next SUPER FUN mechanics.
Jagged Wounds cuts the duration of your bleeds by 33%, but keeps the damage the same. That means: more DPS, more applications, more pain.
Then we have the pinnacle of stupidity, Bloodtalons. Casting Regrowth increases the damage of your next 2 melee abilities by FIFTY f***ing %. Makes you use your Predatory Swiftness after you do a finisher, but before you do the next one. You absolutely have to apply every single bleed, along with your artifact ability, with both Bloodtalons and Savage Roar active. Bloodtalons also makes you pre-(hard)cast regrowth before each fight, in addition to transition phases on every boss possible, so wave goodbye to staying in cat form for extended periods of time. That's the class fantasy of a true FERAL feline predator.
Let's not forget that in addition to the two mentioned damage buffs - Bloodtalons and Savage Roar - we have got Tiger's Fury and Berserk (with the artifact traits). That's four in total. And you're a bleed based spec, so have fun managing all of these together, not just popping them when it's off cd.
Blizzard has seen some reason and will be doing major changes to Feral in 7.3. Can't predict how good they will be once they're all finished and ready to leave PTR, but they intend to keep the aforementioned trinity alive, which probably means it's going to remain the one and only choice. Please let them prove me wrong and make this spec enjoyable at last. In the meantime, if you want to play a challenging yet enjoyable melee, roll a monk.
Well they're making Savage Roar last longer, Jagged Wounds cut the duration of your bleeds by less, cause Regrowth not to shift you out of cat form, and lowered Bloodtalons' effectiveness to better compare it to its talent row, so it seems like they've addressed all your complaints.
Grinding outdoor world content, soloing and just overall fun.
Also we are the fastest grinding spec in-game for soooooo many things. I can safely say having now lvl'd all classes to 110, no other class still compares to just the casual WQ farm, or just grinding. Maybe im BIAS, but meeh.

A hard rotation isn't inherently bad but the design around abilities in order to achieve it makes them feel antiquated especially when you're rewarded with damage which doesn't reflect the amount of plates you have to keep spinning.
7.3 sounds promising though. I never really liked Bloodtalons.
