    Question Help Me Troubleshoot

Hey guys, I have a question for the more computer-minded out there, and since Blizzard's Technical Support team is a joke, I'd like to see if anyone here could give me some insight into an issue I'm having.

I've been playing WoW on the same computer for a few years now, but since the latest patches, my client will suddenly freeze and go into "Not Responsive" mode. There is no delay, no lag, just goes from perfectly fine to completely frozen in a split second.

This happens multiple times a day, sometimes within minutes of each other. I get no WoW Errors, no blue screen of death, nothing. I have to manually open my Task Manager and close WoW entirely to even be able to exit the game.

Why is this happening? What's causing it? And how can I fix it?

It's baffling, I've done nothing new and suddenly this happens.

    1) Have you checked system temps?
    2) Tried disabling all addons temporarily?
    3) Run a full cleanup/tuneup on the system?
    4) Installed newest GPU drivers?
    5) Reinstalled wow?

any of the ones chazus has mentioned could be the cause but because it only started doing it after the patch i would lean heavily towards gpu drivers being out of date or out of date addons it could also be a problem with your connection

Also now, there's a new problem...my comp won't load any Blizzard related product (WoW, forums, etc...) it says I have no connection or can't connect...but I'm right here on these forums, everything else is working fine, and my internet is connected at full strength...what the fuck?

Edit: I know my internet is fine, and it must be connecting in some way, because the launcher will pull up my friends list (like who's online and all that) but the news feed says "Oh no! We couldn't find what we wanted to show you." and all that other stuff...

How is it possible that my internet is connected and Blizzard is obviously accessing it in order to show my friends list, but nothing else will pull up? No forums, no WoW, nothing....this is seriously starting to irritate me....

Oh and I can't even use the BLIZ error code it gives you when you hit the Help button because the fucking pages won't load....sigh...

Are you running 32 or 64 bit client? Tried reinstalling it? Have you tried launching WoW.exe directly?

Sounds almost like a routing or DNS issue.

Open up a command prompt and do 'tracert blizzard.com' or 'tracert 24.105.29.30' and see where it takes a shit.

Try changing DNS to 8.8.8.8 if its set to auto (If you need to know how to do it, just ask)
