    Whats a good gaming router?

I use a wired connection for my PC and have a fantastic connection while gaming.

I also have 2 others using laptops who's connections are so so.

What is a good gaming router for three people with two using wifi? Willing to spend money if there is a be all end all device that we all can be happy with.

    Suggestions?

I love my ASUS router. ASUS has a monster $400 gaming router, but I've read it has all sorts of firmware problems. I like my $80 RT-N66U:

A good router is a good router.

Check out smallnetbuilder website or others who specialise.

I dont recommend the current crop of ASUS. But its your choice. Generally Orbi or the like are best.

Routers wise go for the latest chipsets as they can handle more loads efficiently.

I got 2 asus routers in house, love em both, no issues whatsoever with them.

This is the consensus high end router that isnt crazy expensive:

Just be aware most devices either aren't AC, or dont have multiple receive/transmit antennas. A 10 dollar router will give the same speeds as the one i linked above if the devices have bad wifi chips.
