So what's your biggest one?

Mine is: "The Democrats owned slaves and started the KKK while it was the REPUBLICANS who freed the slaves!!!!"

As if things that happened 150 years ago are still relevant today. I'm not changing history. That fact happens to be true. The southern Democrats supported slavery, as did numerous northern Democrats. And yes, the Republicans were for either containing slavery or even abolishing it completely. But to act like this has any bearing on the parties as they are right now in the modern day completely ignores the history and political shifts since the 1860s. Even if the Southern Strategy hadn't happened, there's still no reason to try to use this fact to malign the modern parties because it was 150 freaking years ago.

Any mention of coal miners or saving coal jobs sends me up the fucking wall regardless of which member of either political party has said it over the last 20 years.

1. Americnas trying to sort everything into left vs. right or other bilateral categories, completely ignoring the infinite shades in between two options.
2. People not knowing the difference between economical systems and political systems and thus comparing socialism with democracies. Or capitalism with communism.
3. People not understanding the law, yet quoting the law. Freedom of speech is a fan favourite. No, it doesn't apply to Facebook. Facebook can censor as much as they bloody like.
4. Using buzzwords like "liberal" as insults... it isn't.
5. Not understanding the words they're using and parroting random shit they read on their favourite drama webblogshitpage without a clue about the issue. See 4.

Election Related Items:

• Long/perpetual campaigns and fundraising.
• Too much money in politics
• The electoral college for national elections. Needs to be reformed and modernized if not abolished.
• House districts. Make all house seats at large on a state basis and apportion house seats as a percentage of a state's vote.

Couldn't decide on just one. All of that would be a start. That list could be a lot longer.

One last one: Morons on both sides who think that conservative or liberal labels mean the same thing for everyone.

People who think that Council of Europe and its subordinate institutions like the European Court of Human Rights or the Venice Commission are bodies of the European Union. Sadly, it includes the Minister of Foreign Affairs of my country.

US right's comprehension of socialism or left wing.

Polish government's (and their sycophants') arguments on how their actions are not unconstitutional even when faced with court rulings that say they are indeed unconstitutional with the courts being the actual legal authority on the matter (and not in "they are educated in law" way, but in "the role of this court is to decide what is constitutional or not" one). Also their arguments on how the courts don't have legal basis for their judgments or how they are simply wrong.

My parents have gotten into the habit of watching EWTN, some shitty Catholic TV station and every news cast it's "pro-life this" and "pro-life that" and you can tell they've got this obnoxious right wing slant entirely because of abortion. These shit heads (the station, not my parents) practically adore Trump and I'm like really? Because of abortion? Trump is the EXACT OPPOSITE of everything Jesus preaches, but because the Dems are pro-choice, Trump it is.

Drives me nuts.
