I think parents are my bigger issue though. At one point I was going to specialize in pediatrics. I love babies/kids and I seem to have a way with them so I thought it made sense I should go that route. Somewhere along the way in medical school my large reserves of patience whittled down to the point I realized that if a child is being difficult it started to grind my gears and it was a sad realization but I'm glad I was honest with myself.

I'm helping raise my niece and nephew now who is on the spectrum. While they have taught me a lot more about being patient again I have to say major kudos to good mums and dads everywhere for what they do which often goes unappreciated.
