HAHAHAHAHA! Such a ridiculous amount of nonsense. You should be grateful that the world allows the US to continue to exist after all their transgressions against humanity, especially the thing with the Native Americans, which is far worse than what Germany, Russia, Turkey and even Mongolia did in all their wars combined.

Why are there sanctions against NK anyway? They have not harmed any other nation.
I guess we shall handwave away the Korean war and several failed assassination attempts of S. Korean leaders...

This is the single largest problem when it comes to North Korea. It's not the Kim, it's not the military. It's the dozens of millions who've been brainwashed into worshipping the Kim so much that they're probably willing to throw themselves under trains for him. Thus, doing something as simple as assassinating the Kim (as many have suggested) would in fact be the worst possible move. It would make their god into a martyr. Look at what the Christians did to the Roman Empire when their god was turned into a martyr.

Personally, I don't think bombings will do it, nor any assassinations. Sure, you could nuke the fuck out of the country, but, erm, I don't think slaughtering millions of civilians is in anyone's interest. My personal opinion is that Seoul should be evacuated, and then an invasion of North Korea should take place. A full invasion and occupation.

It's cute that you think that's what I was saying. [i]<rubs your "brilliant (as your media keeps trying to tell you every fucking stupid and/or mundane thing a Brit does is)" little head>

It's even more cute that the English in specific actually think they were being "heroic" during WWII, and were valiantly, gallantly defending the world against the Nazi threat. When in truth they were just protecting their ass and only "won" because they happened to be on the side of the country that actually came in and saved the day for them even though they had no direct stake in that side of the war.

What's even more hilarious than that is how WWII is pretty much the only thing you people can hold up as a "good thing" you've ever done. When in truth, your history is far more fucked up than most Western countries could ever be accused of being. "But remember WWII you guys? Forget everything else, we're good guys! True story! But fuck you India, we're still not giving you back the national treasures we stole from you, their OUR culture now! <sips tea> 100% OURS!!!!!"

It's a bit of both, actually. It's exactly the same relationship people had with Tito back during Yugoslavia, except to a lesser degree. People cried en masse when he died, despite the fact that they didn't actually love him.

    Replace Raqqa with North Korea.

This is not a surprise. As far as China is concerned, when it comes to economic factor, SK is worth a lot more than NK. China & NK trade is limited to coal & minerals, and China's businessmen taking advantage of cheap labor in NK (textile, etc.). On the other hand, China has a Free Trade Agreement with SK dating back to November 2014. China and SK trade is now worth more than 300b annually. It is projected to lift SK's GDP by 1% in the next 10 years and China's GDP by 0.3% in the same time frame. Currently China and SK just started negotiation to remove service sector barriers.

China also views this FTA as a stepping stone to China-Japan-SK trilateral FTA which is huge, and a building block in the RCEP negotiation which will include the 10 ASEAN member countries, and Australia, New Zealand, India, Japan and South Korea.

Or it's exactly the situations we had in ww2 Japan.

Do you realize how long time it would take to evacuate everyone in Seoul and the vicinity? Do you think that would go unnoticed?

China are very well known liars, but it would be in their interest to put pressure on North Korea, any conflict with the U.S China would lose. They have enough problems right now.
