Splat Brella incoming tonight in Splatoon. Tomorrow in Europe.
Atelier Lydie & Soeur, the final entry in the Mysterious Series, will be coming to the Switch! This is really cool news, Atelier has been one of my favourite game series. Even though I have all on the Vita, I'll be getting them on the Switch now.

Hopefully Gust will release more stuff on the switch. This is the only 3rd Party support I really care about, other Japan Dev's. No need for those western stuff :P. Looks like the Switch will be the new JRPG Handheld, the spiritual successor to the vita. Happy as a clam at hihh water !!
More news will come on 21.08., right here: https://www.gamecity.ne.jp/atelier/lydie/ It will be in Japan this winter season... the western release may be in spring 2018, going by the earlier titles. But I'll be getting a Japanese LE Version way before, they look worth it.
In case you are wondering if you need to play the first two games to enjoy this title: Although they are loosely connected, the stories are self-contained in each single title. You may just miss on some names and references that are referring to earlier titles, but is is very minor, and won't hinder to you get the story, or enjoy the game . And Atelier Games are really enjoyable, very relaxed, with a very unique crafting system.

But that's what fighting games do in general... So many characters in KoF and SF that play just like each other with mostly the same movesets, same for Tekken and DoA... etc
Unless you can prove they literally ripped and copied your animation data there is nothing there.

I honestly didn't realize how easy Nintendo made it to get to high ranks in Splatoon 2(mostly because I didn't lose much ranking up) until now when I realize anyone who has been playing a decent amount regardless of skill is S+. Seeing players in S+ using chargers in splat zones, lol.
Oh and the Splatbrella is the most OP killing weapon in the game. Use punisher with it and you can seriously troll the opposing team. It's not great at painting or controlling areas but you can flat out murder fools over and over again with it.

Played a lot more of the monhun XX demo in handheld mode and i'm really going to be interested in how it effects monhun in japan in future. There ain't nearly enough switches in the wild yet but if you have a 3ds and switch there is really no reason to play this in on the 3ds. Its just better in any playmode on the switch.

There seems to be a huge deficit of Western games for this console. That's disappointing.
Personally, I think the Splat Brella is more of a high skill weapon.
Where it will shine is in ranked and league battles.
Except in situations with Sloshers.

There are three reasons:
The first is the obvious. Nintendo is a Japanese company. Most of their first-party games are not going to be western.
Second, is the fact the Switch is going to replace the Vita as the Otaku machine as it's going to be the premeire handheld, and as has been seen, it's already taken Japan by typhoon.
Finally, Nintendo has had issues with western third-party companies for a long time now. Starting back with the NES days when they had a monopoly on the American gaming market, and getting worse and worse each generation, at least for their consoles.

In an interview with EDGE magazine, EA Worldwide Studios VP Patrick Söderlund said FIFA '18 sales are going to be a big test for the company to support the Switch.

If you are still looking for a Switch or want a second one, all Gamestop locations will have non-bundled Switches in stock at their physical locations starting tomorrow August 15th, and will have a special trade-in discount for older consoles.
God I wish Stardew was just out already.
Played a few hours of Sanic mania on the Switch. Really, really great game. Best sonic in a long time and the most enjoyable one since Adventure 2. Only issue is sometimes if you press the home button it doesnt work in this game. Aside from that smooth as butter.
But i eagerly look forward to the videogame hating social studies drop outs at polygon and kotaku writing articles about how its too hard because they didnt touch a game till their 'plan B' job required it from time to time.
Not sure if linked yet but:
