so in this game saving your game and killing everyone would build the story? lol
LOL, all this Bethesda hate makes me so happy. Bethesda is one of the finest gaming studios to ever exist, their success, history, and longevity prove this, and people still hate. It makes me laugh so hard.
"Half made games" LOL. They spend literally years attempting to play the games themselves trying to encounter all manner of bugs. With so many scripts running in the background for literally thousands of things, something unexpected is BOUND to come up with ANY game, but especially bethesda games, because they offer such a sheer size of content. It's not for lack of trying. But hey, idiots will be idiots.

I hope it's just Bethesda publishing it. Not a fan of the games they've developed themselves but Doom and Wolfenstein are great.
So a Skyrim 2.0 instead of TES 6? Fuck no, skipping that shit. I've had enough of snow landscapes and dragons for a while.
Bethesda's 2 last big games were shit RPGs.
Skyrim was incredibly successful because they did massive advertising and it was the first RPG for a lot of people.
But as RPGs they're trash. Skyrim/Fallout 4 have barely any memorable characters, shallow main stories, copy pasted dungeons, a horribly old engine that you can clearly observe in 2006's Oblivion, a lot of bugs, shit graphics ( especially Fallout 4 which runs worse than Witcher 3 and doesn't look half as good ) and I could go on for days.
You want a "Bethesda" RPG that's good? Fallout New Vegas. You know why it's good? Because it wasn't made by Bethesda.
New Vegas, Witcher 3, Witcher 2, Dragon Age Origins are lightyears ahead of anything Bethesda has done since Oblivion.
I think the mount and blade guys would have been better suited to GoT imo.
The whole problem with the world is that fools and fanatics are always so certain of themselves, but wiser people so full of doubts.
The problem is not Bethesda, but Bethesda's Ip's (Elder Scrolls and Fallout). Some of the last games that were published with the help of Bethesda are insanely good (Doom, Prey, etc), but their main IP's were genuinely great roleplaying games in their first entries, getting more and more streamlined for the casual player over the years. That's why people hate Bethesda nowadays. That and, of course, the bugs and their old engine.
All the CDPR/Obsidian fanboyism on this thread aside (because apparently all video game RPGs have to be made by them or else), I don't think this leak is trustworthy. Why would Bethesda take on an another medieval-themed IP owned by someone else when they have the ES franchise? All I see are downsides: paying for royalties and licensing fees, the developers don't have the creative freedom they want, and video games based on movies are generally shit.

When we looked at their ruins, we marked the danger of that height.

I see some possibilities:
- Money, of course;
- They want a new IP;
- Martin played Skyrim and said: "Let Bethesda develop a new game in the franchise".
- They want to change the idea that GoT can't have a good game (VERY VERY UNLIKELY)
- Someone company/patreon wanted to make a Open World GoT game and Bethesda's games fit their idea of Open World RPG.
Other than that, I don't know.
Who said this will be an RPG? Bethesda doesn't want two fantasy RPG IPs.
No that's just your opinion. I enjoyed Fallout 4 and Skyrim just as much as the Witcher series and Obsidian-made games. I have over 600 hours played on FO4 now. There are some things I feel need to be improved in the FO/ES series, but I never felt they were bad or that somehow Witcher or New Vegas are "light years ahead." Those titles have their own shortcomings as well.
Now do you have anything else to contribute to the thread other than "Bethesda sucks, CDPR gud"?

There's a lot of Bethesda hate in here. If there's anything Bethesda is good at, it's making worlds. But the story themselves are...well underwhelming(Skyrim's story isn't bad persay, just underwhelming).

As someone who has read all the books, I personally think the first couple seasons had far too much sex/nudity in them. Including dialogue during said scenes which provided character development or exposition was horrid. Truly cringe-inducing. After season 2 the amount of these types of scenes significantly decreased. Regardless, no one who has actually watched GoT calls any aspect of it "porn".
Sure everything is possible, but given Bethesda's history and their robust line of franchises, are they really aching for another medieval setting that competes with their own Elder Scrolls? Even if they wanted a new IP, I think they would just rather create it themselves than license it from someone else.
I agree, I guess right now it's fashionable to be a CDPR/Obsidian fanboy and hate on everything else that is AAA and does RPGs. I think that Bethesda needs to improve on their story-telling but their open-world design is second-to-none.
