Are references to illegal drugs or activities.
Have racial, ethnic, or national connotations.
Have any connotations of major religions or religious figures (e.g. Jesus, Christianity, Buddha).
Include names of World of Warcraft realms, zones, or names of major characters from Warcraft lore.
Advertise any organizations or websites.
Are otherwise considered inappropriate for the game world.


Severe Violations

Severe violations include any names that:

Have any racial or ethnic connotations.
Have any national connotations.
Refer to extreme or violent sexual acts.
Refer to extremely violent real life actions.
Negatively refer to any aspect of sexual orientation pertaining to themselves or other players.
Are inappropriate references to human anatomy or bodily functions.
Are pornographic in nature.

One the US forum MVPs is Bluspacecow. I'd like to know how that doesn't break the rules on partial sentences but Twogenders does.

Perhaps someone could report them for ToS violation and see what happens.

Say what you want, but 'Two Genders' is just an angry meme meant to make people who feel like they fit into neither category uncomfortable, as if something is wrong with them. It has no place in an online world, where Gender is irrelevant, and where many people escape life into.

I'm assuming this GM was just told from someone else to tell the player to change their name. Their likely just doing their job and trying to get the player to shut up and just change it. Unless Blizzard allow GMs to make value judgments?

Either way its a minor point to concede. I'm all for completely free language regardless of offense. Blizzard however are a free company and can chose what they find 'acceptable'. If anything they'll be hyper cautious any potentially offensive name will be blamed on Blizzard and knowing the retardation of gaming press they'd be 1000s of articles on whatever ism the offensive name might pertain to.
