The person who refuses to cut his hair and shave his beard does not belong in any political post in UK. I'm completely fine with people opposing that nonsense.

Another proud member of the cult of ignorance.

In general those who practice Sikhism seem to be less assholish than your fundiegelical theocrat or RADICAL AWESOME EXTREME Islamic terrorist.
Which is the comparison being made. Extreme assholes from 2 faiths VS an everyday Sikh.
When all you hear about on the news is OMG ISIS IS COMING FOR YOUR GUNS THANKS OBAMA day in day out combined with hardcore conservative Christianity being pushed screaming about ISIS, it portrays both as your average member.
Kudos to dude for keeping his cool, trying to educate the woman, and now escalating or rising to her assholish behavior. Regardless of his religion, dude done did good.
I guess it shouldn't be surprising that idiots giving into the muslim fearmongering would be confuse Sikh with Muslim given Sikh men embody every outward stereotype I have ever heard regarding Muslims. "Towelhead", beard, etc.
"Not even death can cure idiocy."
And you could have it all,
my Empire of Dirt.
I will let you down,
I will make you Hurt.
Wtf Sikh people are cool. Sod off, weird lady.
Also I'm fairly sure he wasn't too happy to be called a Muslim. Reminds me of when some news organization asked for permission to use a photo of a Sikh man (this was made very clear) helping victims of the Manchester bombing by being a taxi service, only for them to portray the man as being Muslim.
Got a little too hippy for me when they answered her aggression with "love". Still, he handled it better than most other politicians who have been heckled.
The woman though...complete lack of dignity and common sense.

The wise wolf who's pride is her wisdom isn't so sharp as drunk.
So funny, it's the live action version of putting someone on ignore on a forum or chat.
One I didn't say she was hostile.
Two I rewatched the video or not even the full thing just the start, you can clearly hear her say her name is Jennifer she then says we know your in bed with sharia know your in bed with the Muslim brother hood we know because of how you vote.
And she's racist because she thinks just because the guy his brown he's a Muslim.
It's one of the 5 K's of their religion, which are more like just symbols of devotion to their faith which they are meant to carry with them - but if the situation calls for it they can definitely remove it. The 5 K's actually tell you more about what matters to Sikh's as a religion than their summaries of their religious texts:
Kesh - a turban (or scarf) - this is meant to symbolize the importance of both knowledge and humility
Kanga - a comb - meant to symbolize the importance of cleanliness
Kara - a steel bracelet - meant to symbolize that the teachings of their faith will protect them (is their shield)
Kachera - cotton underwear - meant to symbolize not getting attached to material things (ex. fancy silk underwear)
Kirpan - a knife - meant to symbolize protecting the weak (and themselves)
The moral position of Sikhs are more-or-less undefined, as opposed to Christians, Jews, Muslims, etc - they don't have commandments or etc. The Sikh position is just that there is only one god, he's infinite, he was here before time, he'll be here after time, and all creation/destruction is his willful action. Your purpose in life is to try to understand god, and you do that by meditating and gaining knowledge. There aren't specific commandments, but there is a holy book, which is mostly filled with life pro tips: how best to wash fruit, etc. So you have to figure out who god is, and what they want from you, for yourself - but there are gurus who can help you share their knowledge.
Perhaps most interesting is their pretty radical position on equality. Sikhism broke away from Hinduism in the 15th century because they didn't believe in a caste system - all people are equal. Further, the Sikh position on women is that they are equal to men, which was pretty contradictory to both the Islamic invasion ruling their part of India at the time, and the Hindu position throughout the rest of India.
