2 pages back i wrote why i hate this condescending attitude towards eastern europe. In my opinion this is the biggest threat inside the EU. Why i was pointing out he's dutch, is more because someone else started to attack germans in retaliation and that's not really fair.

I mean, even if you want to criticize Poland, and i think there are many good reasons right now. It's just unfair to put all eastern european countries into the same bucket.

I fully agree with this here though. And Greeks have no reason to be ashamed of anything either. It's an amazing country with rich history, super kind people, a cool sounding language, and probably THE BEST cuisine in the world. You guys should actually be somewhat proud and try to actively solve the current issues so that you're again able to enjoy your beauties undistracted by these unnecessary quarrels.

My uncle has been traveling to and working in greece for decades and while you're right with what you said, they are also unbelievable jealous of each others success and seem to have a hard time working together. Yes this is of course just anecdotal as he obviously couldn't have visited all of greece and engaged with every greek there is but from what he told me and what i've witnessed when i visited family and friends over there, it's one of the major things that's holding them back as everyone seems to be working against the success of everyone else.

With that sort of thinking there can be Europe but not a European UNION. In a UNION there is no "your country" "my country" there is "all of us trying to make it".

This is exactly the point the EU is trying to make with these fines. Poland is not part of "all of us trying to make it". Poland is sitting there, holding their hand up to get money but when they're asked to chip in like everyone else is, they refuse. Hence the fines.

Ah, Germany tried to help Italy and Greece but hasn't consulted any other countries it might have screwed in the process. The actions of one country put many others in state of emergency, just because they decided they feel for refugees now. I understand that something had to be done, but Germany alone took action that had repercussions on neighboring countries, no wonder they're mad now. Some have put up with it, others did not (although Polish gov. already agreed to refugees transfer, so it's a bit too late for that).

It was Hungary that came up with the tale that Merkel welcomed all refugees when what she did was trying to help Hungary because they were overrun and Hungary helped Germany back just before the unification. So she agreed to take some refugees off of Hungary's hands to take part of the bureaucratic burden. Unfortunately Hungary's government turned around and stapped her in the back suddenly declaring she wanted refugees to move to Germany. (Which was base on a rather poor translation of her German speech into English.)

At least that is how it came across for me, I can read English and German (among others) but unfortunately no Hungarian.

Too bad I already addressed this in the very next paragraph and pointed out how not only was your presentation of superiority wrong in general, but also misapplied in this specific case. Because the "of the same type" bit at the end is precisely the context that's required to talk superiority that I mentioned.

You give too much credit to Polish politicians (the ones the idea of reminding about reparations came from), most of them are dumb af. They are basically bunch of lemmings following hive-mind (J. Kaczyński) elected by the same lemmings (uneducated old people). Most of them does not see a difference, EU=Germany for them.

It's not bashing if they deserve it and they do deserve it due to the fact that shooting refugees is a national sport in each and every one of Eastern European countries

And then brothers from western europe would call for brotherly military help to the 'opressed' Polish nation. Its a very quick step into another (USSR) this day called as Union of European Socialist Republics. Tbh i am ashamed that ppl from my country sold their sovereignty for 200 dollars per hectare. I hope this madness ends soon and this colossus on clay legs will fall apart.

i want EU as a federal state so yeah you will lose sovereignty, and gain democratic power over EU administration witch is not the case now.
