Is there any point to having the Bracers equipment slot?

The more time passes the more i think these things should not exist.
Not only Blizzard is takign time to raphically create these bracers that are 95% of the time hidden under the gloves or a tunic chespiece, but they are also just a pointless piece of uninteresting equipment in terms of stat.
Basically a pointless ball of stat that also waste arts assets.

Overall i don't get why we still ahve them in the game.

The only point for them to make sense is to have a "hide gloves" option in Transmo so you can actually see it.

There's countless gloves that cut off at the wrist and expose the bracers. I use plenty of transmogs where my bracers are completely visible.

D&D always explained it away as having more than one magic ring on a hand could cause adverse magical effects from multiple rings remaining in close proximity to each other for an extended period of time; I'm sure there's similar logic in WoW.

That was also said almost word for word in Diablo 2. Too many magical objects in close proximity can basically cancel each other out.

Yes, there is more reason than stats, there is cosmetic as well. I do not think it is a good idea to remove them. As a transmog collector, they aren't pointless. There is about 30 or so sets with visible bracers (I think there is more, last thread I went to count, can't recall now nor cba to go count again).

Oh, and it is a waste of art assets to remove them as well, as there has been put work into the art no matter what.

Trinkets often have special effects, jewelry has a choice of enchants, optional hiding is optional. Bracers have no.redeeming features, I'd rather have the separate range/melee slots than bracers, at least those were useful.
