Longer then I thought it would be, but considering the lack of a history I am okay with it only being 2 games.
I spent basically this whole week not being worried about this Panthers game at all, but it's starting to finally creep in.
Just not sure which Panthers team is going to show up. If it;s the same team we've seen so far this season, with a good defense and a struggeling offense that can't really put it together enough on both sides of the ball to be a problem OR if the home loss against a division rival has put some fire into them, especially going into a game against a team in their own home stadium where the Panthers are fully expected to lose by pretty much everyone. That's the kind of "nobody believes in us" bullshit that gets teams that win no one expected.
I'm also worried what kind of defense is going to show up for the Patriots. There's the one with Hightower and Branch active and playing well that finished last season on a hot streak and won a Superbowl, but it could also be the one without either of them in it or playing well and then we get more like we saw the past 3 weeks.
I mean, if you are the Panthers and you struggle on offense, what better moment to get back into the swing of things then when you face the (currently) 32nd defense in the league based on DVOA?
We'll find out soon enough, but I'm less at ease than I was early in the week.
It's so funny watching these Patriots fans pretend like they're in a bad spot. Maybe try that if you ever go back to having losing seasons.
god i hate how many different channels the NFL plays on. ESPN, next minute yahoo website now a channel called '7mate' in my country. Damn tv rights.
My god, if we have another Flags-a-million game I'm gonna cry.

And theres the typical Jay Cutler intercept.

But to be fair, Thomas didn't give him anything.
Nice to see thing working so well with Kamara, he was the skill player I wanted out of the draft, he just seemed like a Saints type player.

so many flags
very, very many flags.
This game is not the greatest advert for the sport.
I know America seems to think we like 0-0 draws, but no... no we don't.
Hooray, several plays in a row without a flag, and then points.
Yay, the only person scoring points in England is fittingly, the guy who kicks the ball...
This game is terrible.
So, from your comments and the score, it seems I missed a positively riveting first half...
Let's see if it picks up in the second half.
There's no winning for a Patriots fan, cause if we talk about how well we are doing, we get moaned at for our hubris and if we talk about the problems the team has (like everyone else does too) we get moaned at for being pessimistic when our team is (perceived) to be oh so great.
Then if the Patriots had a 10-6 season and missed the playoffs, you'd be up in our grill laughing at us that even the great Bill Belichick and Tom Brady couldn't get the team to the playoffs etc. etc.
So, excuse me for just doing what every fan does, which is worry about his team's next game. It's September and a lot can happen in a season before it's over.
Pam Oliver seems to have recovered from an early case of the "Dipps"
