"It takes a vast amount of self control to be this dangerous" he said.

Peter "Rocket Madsen" Madsen. Millionaire and engineer/scientist.
As far as I understand, a pretty fucking smart man, he had build the submarine that he and journalist Kim Wall, whom was interviewing him, was traveling in by himself.
So apparently, his story is: something happened to his submarine, leading to her being struck in the head by some kind of hatch and died. So far so good. Classic accident.
Now, what he can't explain is why he cut her body into bits, attached "metal" objects to them in order to sink them.
Torso has been found, with multiple stab wounds and some kind of "unknown" to the public kind of damage to the "nether" regions.
Head, Arms and Legs still missing.
Edit: Head & Legs have already been found. Head has no signs of trauma/crushing wounds from any kind of "hatch" accident.
Well it actually has (as someone explained above), and it most certainly has in regards to media coverage. If there's anything that makes the media around here go bananas, it's a journalist being the victim of pretty much anything. I dare to say that very, very few occupations have such a grandiose self-imagery in general, at least around these parts, and that coupled with the, to say the least, peculiar nature of the entire case, and we have an unavoidable and full-blown media circus going.
So no trauma to her head, his story was the an acciden had happened where one of the hatches had hit her head and killed her, now the investigation is looking into if she died due to the decapitation...

This case would have been extraordinary regardless of her occupation, it's not every day a murder like this happens, add that the murderer is semi famous and a rocket/sub scientist.
they found a bunch of snuff porn of women being strangled and beheaded on his laptop.
Enjoy the can you son of a bitch.
I entirely agree, and I believe I stated as much as well. It would not have been this "extraordinary" however, not to the press, and that much is factual. They have even printed articles that serve no other purpose than to laud her journalistic career, which is quite the stretch to be perfectly honest (although I'm sure she was a good journalist). There's a very valid reason as to why journalists constitute the only professional group that can contend with politicians for the rank of most 'distrusted profession' among the general populace. And this case is yet another reminder, although certainly significantly less so than some other, more memorable ones...
That said, the submarine engineer/entrepreneur (scientist he most certainly is not) sure is a character that could have been taken from some sort of comic book or less than stellar movie plot, and is quite clearly guilty to the as heinous as unexplainably stupid, act as well. The latest find is likely causing him quite some discomfort, at the moment...
He obviously did it. He can deny it all he wants to, all the evidence points to him as the murderer. Wonder how many years he'll get for it... Danish murder sentences make no sense sometimes. And I doubt he'll get life... And I mean actual life time, so most likely less than 16 years.
