Honestly, those scales are kind of bunk anyhow (they're basically "straight, mostly straight, kind of straight", etc). From my experience, attraction is the indicator for orientation. Eg, If [as a guy] you're not attracted to masculine women but are attracted to passing trans-women, you're straight. But if you've a thing for masculine/muscular women, you're probably bi.

So, to recap, after third wave Feminism made all heterosexual relationships into toxic messes and forcefully argued that men were toxic monsters that are the problem, men now might just seek all the benefits of a relationship from another man except for the sex bit and just use women for sex and that's it and now THAT is a problem.
