I did this, only I abandoned her at 57 to start levelling a Lock, having already got a mage to 40. It took a while before I hit 60 on my first char.

I also managed to pull Golemagg from the bridge above him...

A friend levelled his pally as Ret but using a sword and shield. I didn't have the heart to tell him.

I was a level 5 or so and wanted to explore more than just Elwynn so I swam over the river over the Horrorville aka Duskwood and left there mentally scarred.

I was only 10 or so and Tirisfal Glades/Duskwood + their music + level ??? ( skull ) enemies terrified me.

Likewise. I vendored that silverleaf for a silver a stack and used it to buy white quality gear from the vendors. I didn't even know the AH or a way off the island was a thing until all the quests turned grey (I kept grinding to try to solo that darn elite elemental since I didn't know groups were a thing either)

That gnome run recently was a great nostalgia trip to that.

My first char was a Warlock, and I didn't like shadowbolt because it took too long to cast, so I leveled up the first 10 levels by stabbing enemies with an actual letter opener.

I leveled my Priest 10-60 as Holy, but it was for a reason. My Warrior friend I was playing with never bought a single Protection ability, so no Taunt, Sunder Armor, etc. His idea of holding threat was to do MORE DAMAGE with a 2h sword. So I went straight down the Holy tree to get the talent that reduced my threat from healing spells. My group of friends made it all the way to and cleared Gnomer. After that, he ended up quitting, and I spent the majority of my time in dungeons anyways, so I just kept dumping points in Holy. I had a good reputation on my server though as a dungeon healer, so I was constantly busy. The few times I wasn't, and grinding out in the open world were slow as fuck.

I clicked on the Blood of Heroes in Eastern Plaguelands.

Made that mistake a grand total of one time.

    wat?

I just pointed out the fact you made up your classic dumbest moment. You don’t have to tell me what food or elixirs you used; they were probably ones added in WoTLK anyway.

there was a period of time where you could fall into the lava pool at the great anvil area in ironforge.

i fell in on my lvl 30 something human warrior and couldnt get back out, chain dying over and over.

I had no idea what spirit rezzing was, nor ticketing, nor unstuck.

I deleted my lvl 30 something warrior that i had worked on for weeks, while crying like a bitch the whole time (shut up, i was 9). I was convinced it was lost forever

close second is not knowing what attributes are. I'd purely go by armor. I have no idea what 'agility' means. I know what armor means, though. I'd buy white gear from stormwind every 5-10 levels up until like 40 something when someone explained it to me

Thinking I needed to balance all the stats as a hunter instead of focusing on a primary stat. Needless to say he has a bit much in the strength/spirit categories. I still keep that toon around to remind me of how stupid I can be.

Oh, and also not realizing that creatures with a yellow health bar were neutral. I spent alot of time dodging around mobs I really didn't need to.

I’m sure I did a lot of dumb things, but nothing comes to mind that is any different from what a lot of you have shared; using the wrong gear, doing a lot of needless walking. I remember leveling as fire because fireball did more damage, but I didn’t kite so I usually got beat on while casting fireball. When I realized frost bolt also slowed the mobs, I realized the efficiency of it, but I was addicted to that fire damage. Iirc, I would switch between fireball and frost bolt depending on which rank I’d bought, as a level 6 frb did more than a level 5 fireball.

I once walked off a cliff in Thousand Needles, as I fell asleep at the desk..you never forget that kind of thing. I tended to do quests in the order I got them, even if it meant doing the Tanaris to Hinterlands shuffle.

The nostalgia is strong right now. I don’t think you ever get that back, but damn I want to try.

Kept spam-feeding my pet because I was oblivious to the cycling buff 1 food item already gave it.

It wasn't something that I did, but a friend I played with in vanilla went AFK outside Goldshire where the wolves used to be. When she came back, she had been killed by said wolves (mind you, she was level 57 so it must have taken those level 6 wolves a long ass time).

I loved this run so much I made an army of night elves druids who are all 16 and there swim form quest done. Stil have them to this day 6 or 7 druids on different servers on top of my 2 main druids.

I even once asked myself if it was shorter to swim from the wetlands to SW. And if I remember correctly it took 27 minutes to swim, a little less to walk even with those terrifying crocolisks.
