The question of ads vs donations is always a complicated one for online forums for sure. Should we donate to every single internet website we go to? it certainly starts adding up rather quickly, but at the same time, what kind of incentive can they possibly offer that is not simply taking things from non-donors (i.e: faster connection). A premium chance at earning some pet/mount every month? maybe that'd get some people in.

Probably because this site is so fucking loaded with garbage ads that either make sounds or have pop ups, that everyone and their dog has adblock.

I've said it before but this was the site that actually caused me to seek out an adblocker.

It's been getting ridiculous. I'm an avid news reader, but it's not in my budget to get behind paywalls. I could afford it, but no, thank you, I won't. Also, I don't mind seeing advertisements, but not if it disrupts my reading or if it may contain malware.
