Philosophically speaking, law follows morals, law doesn't set morals. As for boundaries, they exist in the form of incitement criminal laws. These tweets may fall under that, depending on interpretation. Personally, I would totally investigate them for incitement, some of them clearly endorse violence towards other people. And that's a boundary that you can't cross in civilised countries.

    Human morals and decency.

Not celebrating mass shootings on innocents, regardless of their sexuality, color or religion.

Or more or less sympathizing with terrorist attacks on innocents.

It's blatantly easy to track and it's even easier to track them down and it wouldn't really affect free speech, because free speech wasn't created to celebrate in the misery of others. It was created for you to be able to speak your mind, whilst respecting the boundaries of others.

Agreed. The shirt should have read 'generic conservative ideologue.' Bringing race and gender into it is unacceptable.

well the US is not like most western countries. while we do allow them to associate with whomever they want, that doesn't mean our government doesn't keep an eye on them. even if it leads to nothing.

Entirely fair game.
Again, private repercussions isn't what the dude asked for. He asked for Government retaliation against these tweets. That (probably) doesn't compute as easily as he thinks it does. Twitter banning the accounts and those dudes getting fired? Entirely different ballpark. And they're fair game in that.

Well, it's doubtful they would want to, or need to build a wall down the middle of the giant fucking river that makes up much of the border.

You mean the river that is 50 feet wide at some parts and is crossed on a regular basis?

It wasn't all that long ago that human morals and decency wanted to censor violence in video games and blamed TV shows like Buffy the Vampire Slayer for the Columbine shootings.

People have a right to be tasteless dicks, and we have a right to call them tasteless dicks for acting like that. The country is better off overall for its adherence to broad free speech rights, even if we have to deal with these folks now and then.

Why is the fact that he is a conservative fine for you to attack? Are you saying all conservatives are a hive mind? Are you aware that a lot of conservatives are just fine with gay people and Trans in bathrooms?

Yes inflicting hate and creating more hate is something that improves the country. Only clowns would bring that up.
