Pretty sure when blizzcon is there, The new expansion won't be far away aswell.
Like beta will 100% start instantly with this rate of speed.
I'm sure that the next expansion is out like 6months after Blizzcon.
I think some people feel the expansion is moving along too quickly because we are accustomed to slower releases. Though it also depends on how frequently you're able to play the game and consume content.
I'm guessing the next expansion will feature the burning legion coming to azeroth, not the other way around. Blizzard has said that it doesn't want to go with the Outland approach again because it conflicts with the game's gothic theme. Plus it would make more sense since this expansion is ultimately getting the horde and alliance to put aside their differences so we can band together against this threat, and not try and stake a claim in a new land once again which would only lead to more inter-faction conflict.
non bias and mmos go together like nicholas cage and good movies.
next expansion will be called: The Burning Legion Strikes Back xD
If it's burning legion expansion again, then it won't be at old azeroth, They don't want a Cataclysm 2.0.
They have learned from that, trust me.
They won't be announcing a new WoW xpac this Blizzcon because it will be too close to launch IMO. If they waited that long they would have to change the current beta method. We will be seeing 5.3 in late April/Early May, going by the projected time frame they have said they will follow we can expect 5.4 in late July at the latest. By the time blizzcon rolls around we will have been in 5.4 for about 4 months and will likely be a over a month into patch 5.5. They have stated that Garrosh is the last raid, they want content patches every 2 months and new raids every 4-5. I honestly expect to see the next xpac in early 2014, like February early. This lines up perfectly with their goal of xpacs ~every 1.5 years.
WoW: Return of Kael'Thas Again
Shadows of the Legion
Return of the Legion
Into the Nether
Reign of Chaos (imo, i'd like this, same as WC3)
WoW: Redemption
WoW: Fel Shadows
I don't think a raid tier should ever last longer than 6 months (and I include the final tier of an expansion in that). I'm hoping that whatever patch is the final raid tier of this expansion, it wont be all we have for a year or more as happened at the end of WOTLK or Cata.
Oh absolutely. They learned a painful lesson about having disjointed regions with no cohesive storyline. We wont have to worry about that happening again. We may see a patch 5.5 with story development and maybe a Ruby Sanctum type raid but really how many people enjoyed RS?
