Is there anyway of tracking who activated a plate in the smart stamper phase for mythic hanz?

We had numerous attempts tonight where someone on the melee group was starting on the 2nd plate as the phase started.
Iv`e tried viewing the replays on warcraft logs, but they don`t seem super accurate regarding peoples position

Don't think so. Maybe link logs so someone else could see it?

Log to warcraft logs (with advanced combat logging enabled in your WoW settings) and look at the combat replay

Rogues during killing spree can activate the stampers and on the replay it may look like hes not touching the stamper

Killing Spree can definitely be a culprit, and that time when stampers are about to start is one of the main times you can use KS. If you have a Rogue then make sure they use KS before the 5s countdown to stampers starting to be sure.
