Patch confusion..

So, this morning, BOTH PTR and Live was patched..
PTR: v6.2.1 build 20328, flying enabled
Live: v6.2.0 build 20338, flying disabled

How can live have a higher build, but lower version?
Why is flying disabled on Live, when it clearly should be enabled?

Probably a hotfix build.


Build numbers are actually independent of version, that's just what build it is overall since WoW began. Once we get to 7.0 Beta build numbers will get weird.

Live is patch 6.2.0, PTR is patch 6.2.1

6.2.1 PTR is currently using an older build. 6.2.0 Live got hotfixed (That PTR hasn't received)

Flying should not be enabled on Live.

Nothing really wrong here.

EDIT: It should be noted that "Version Number" and "Build Number" are often not the same thing. Builds are similar to internal testing. You may see hundreds of builds go through just to go up one version number.
