Set your account to opt in for the beta anyways, Bliz stated a long time ago that you didn't need an active account. On the other hand, I dont have an active account and dont have Beta either, so obviously, they were lying(!) Really, though, I think they may be done giving out random invites until the "stress test" phase, and are using website giveaway promos until then.

I do that since Cata and I haven't received shit yet. I'm not keen on RNG to be my saviour, never was. RNG was shit, is shit, and will be shit. I don't need beta, it'd be cool to test out rotations and stuff, sure, but I wouldn't really spend more than a day in there, if that.

If i were to take into account all augmentations that should be available by the time we're raiding (full/nearly full artifact, 2x legendaries, etc)

As things stand right now, i would pick
sub - ST king with decent burst cleave viability.

Sub all the way, the artifact, talents, and bandaids can be cobbled together into a strong ST spec, with the right talents and legendaries, burst cleave(every 20sec or 60sec) may be good enough to not need outlaw.

I'm kinda new to the Sub Rogue (tried playing it on Legion beta but the Qchain is currently bugged...) but have been reading my fair share of Legion info but where exactly does the burst cleave come from? I can't really find what talent/ability/artifact you're referring to...

You build the spec/talents for big finishers(MoS, nightstalker, deeper strat, DFA) and use the ravenholdt legendary ring (15% all dmg turned into front-cone aoe) and the legendary cloak that buffs the shit out of shuriken storm/FoK (%dmg increase every 2 sec, stacks to 30)

With the powers combined, planned burst cleave has some potential - enter SD-->6cp DFA-->Shuriken storm(massive aoe from cloak buff)-->6cp(# of target dependent) Evisc-->Shadow nova.

Of course, the downside is actually aquiring those legendaries, without them you're limited to DFA, SS, and shadow nova and/or nightblade spread (shudder)

Thanks for the explanation. Didn't know about those legendaries and indeed what I could determine from the game was that really only Shuriken Storm is your only baseline AoE...... Thought that was a bit weak imo....

Did a bit of testing on the max lvl server and to be honest, Shuriken Storm + Nightblade isn't bad. Storm gives quite a lot of combopoints.....

Shitty thing is that to Shuriken Storm more than 5 targets (or 4 really with passive CP gen) you are forced to take the talent that increases your max combo points. I'm fine with that talent, but it kinda sucks being pigeonholed. I also didn't mind nightblading everything, but for short term it's not great. Guess you could just evisc one target over and over.
