Actually there are combos that work against lore or that can't work:
-undead druids - really being sort of dead and trying to bring life is something of a contradiction, the nature magic would effectively destroy the undead for real if used due to how it works. This is not like the Light where an undead could channel it with great pain, nature and undeath are in pure contradiction as there is nothing natural about the state of undeath
-draenei warlocks - when draenei left the erredar they did so because they desired to have nothing to do with fel. Having draenei warlocks would mean they are the erredar.
-goblin druid - goblins desire wealth above all and stop at nothing to achieve it, destroying nature wherever they go. They could not control nature at any point ever for, while it would not kill them per say, it would mean abandoning everything their race is about.
-gnome shaman - last but not least, gnomes are quite destructive to the land itself too. While at least one in Blade's Edge was trying to learn more about how druidism works, and it could work (just like asura in Guild Wars 2 who have towns wonders of tech but intertwined with nature), they constantly have to battle the elements but, unlike goblins, would not subjugate them to their will, meaning they will be in constant contradiction with them.

The very reason why Helves and then Belves came to be was becuase they refused to convert to druidism and stuck with arcane instead. Becuase in their eyes druidism is primitive magic and they wanted to continue to use Arcane.

So adding them would absolutely against their established lore. Not to mention it would cause a huge disbalance since Alliance would also have to get one.

Personally I believe they should keep restrictions. It was mistake to add this many combos in cata anyway.
Here's the deal, the worgen harvest witches also only knew the botanist aspects so to say before night elves helped them understand the rest.

Furthermore, yes, blood elves use arcane to bend magic to their will. In a way, their view on druidism is similar to the taunka view of shamanism. While tauren/orcs/trolls believe they need to ask the elements for aid and offer them stuff, the taunka force the elements to their will through their power. Same here, while the rest of the druids are in tune with nature, blood elves would force nature to bend to their will through arcane. They would probably never be allowed in Moonglade lorewise, but they could be druids per say.

Also, draenei seem to have been trying to learn about druidism since their starting zones and now in WoD we saw draenei who try to blend in with nature. Overall, best candidate.

Damage schools != magic schools. Blood Elves know nothing about Nature magic, healing or otherwise. If anything, having an Arcane equivalent would make teaching them harder.

Missing the point. Harvest Witches still used Nature magic. Blood Elves use Arcane.

I'd imagine due to their addiction for Arcane magic it would be extremely difficult. Druids represents being one with nature, and have the purity to enter the Emerald Dream. It's always possible that a small, unknown, secret clan of Blood Elves separated themselves from the others and got rid of their addiction.

Blizzard hasn't really done any story like that for Belfs yet, but they might in the future. Who knows what might be in store for the Blood Elves.

That's not really convincing, especially since we already have Elf Druids.

Trolls do have better explanation, - it was through Loa. And Gonk to be precise. Trolls also have a long history of shapefhifting to various animal forms.
A long history that usually involves killing the Loa and eating it before hand, which is sort of the opposite of how Druids act with the wild gods, and being "tied" to the wild gods only requires training from Cenarius it is not exactly a huge hurdle to leap over, considering the FULLY HUMAN Gilean's did it by accident with their harvest witches.

    Edit

-gnome shaman - last but not least, gnomes are quite destructive to the land itself too
First off, if destructive to the land disqualifies you from Shamanism then Goblin's shouldn't have them, second Gnome should have EVERY caster class, as part of their culture is studying magic.

I'd imagine due to their addiction for Arcane magic it would be extremely difficult.
This addiction was cured when the Sunwell was purified

The Zandalari in Northrend outright told us that killing the Loa is generally a sign that a troll tribe went off the deep end and is shortly before it's extinction. That's not the normal form of Loa worship.

Blood Elves are still addicted to magic. They just have a pure magic source available to them again.

Aside from the fact that there are already BE druids in lore? I mean I am sure there could be other arguments made but they aren't necessary lol.

Druids are the most played class by a noticeable margin. Care to guess what the most played Race is on the Horde?
If they made that change, It is reasonable to assume many of the druids would make the switch. Further crowding the population with one race. This is why blizz doesn't allow them. Also why High elves aren't playable on the Alliance.

The way they keep messing around with the lore they should just make gnome druids that can shapeshift into small mounts for other players to permanently ride.
    Chicken fried rice is delicious!

That is exactly what it will be - an EXCUSE!

Druidism is something you learn... I don't see why you can't learn it as any race? The only race I might wonder if it could work would be undead... although theres a few ghost druids out there
