my herb/miner has quite a lot of ore, but i'm not sure what to do with it (for profit)
should i just straight sell it? or craft it? or prospect it?

go on the undermine journal, have a look at prices on your server.
1) Load the amount of weight I would deadlift onto the bench
2) Unrack
3) Crank out 15 reps
4) Be ashamed of constantly skipping leg day

I just sell my ore. A stack of 200 Leystone goes for ~2k, a full stack of Felslate goes for ~8k on my realm
If a guildy needs it though, I give it to them for 50% AH price.
