    Main stat vs Secondary

    As a holy priest, at what point is a gear upgrade worth losing mastery over? Is an 850 with crit/mastery worth replacing with an 870 haste/vers? Non-jewelry pieces of course.

    Thanks!

    I've been curious about this as well, especially with the +healing boost versatility provides.

    Use an add on like pawn, enter your Stat weights and voila, there you have the answer.

    Sounds simple, until you gotta calculate stat weights for a healer.

    My experience with Pawn is that when you put a value of 1 for Int, regardless of the secondary stats, it will always say that the higher ilvl is an upgrade. I am using Jak's Pawn string. I am not in game right now so I can't post it right now but you should be able to find it relatively easy if you Google it.

    then you need to normalize around the highest stat, if its not int. You can do this by dividing through by the weight of the highest stat (I think, someone feel free to correct me on this). So if haste is 1.15, int is 1.0, crit is 0.86, mast is 0.78 and vers is 0.65, then you'd divide all those by 1.15, haste comes out at 1.0 and the rest come out relative to haste.

    You are correct. Those look like Disc's stat priorities though.

    Holy is like Int = 1.0, Mastery = 0.6 (accounting for ~30% overheal), Crit = 0.6, Haste = 0.4 (If using Benediction and/or Binding Heal/Enduring renewal, virtually worthless if not using any of those), Versatility = so garbage i don't even remember.

    You can always just divide out the stats on a ring/neck if Pawn is giving you funky results.

    Looks like Jak came up with Int = 1.0, Haste = 0.65, Mastery = 0.8, Versatility = 0.64, Crit =0.79. So by your math it should be:

    Int = 1.25, Haste = 0.8125, Mastery = 1, Versatility = 0.8, Crit = 0.9875

    ( Pawn: v1: "Jak": Intellect=1, IsFist=-1000000, Indestructible=0.01, Leech=0.01, MovementSpeed=0.01, HasteRating=0.65, MasteryRating=0.8, Versatility=0.64, IsPolearm=-1000000, IsGun=-1000000, IsShield=-1000000, IsPlate=-1000000, Is2HAxe=-1000000, IsOffHand=-1000000, IsCrossbow=-1000000, IsBow=-1000000, IsMail=-1000000, IsSword=-1000000, IsLeather=-1000000, IsWarglaive=-1000000, Is2HMace=-1000000, CritRating=0.79, Avoidance=0.01, Is2HSword=-1000000, IsAxe=-1000000, Stamina=0.01 )
