Horde and its Paladins

Hello,

I apologize beforehand about my first post being a qqpost, but how come Blizzard gives Horde the fourth Shaman race (Pandaren) and no new Paladin race? Alliance has 3 and we have 2. Both sides will get a new shaman but where are the paladins? My main is a retribution/protection on Horde side and I have the choice between a Blood Elf with no useful talent for ret (arcane torrent, very situational), and Tauren (stam buff for tank...wow, AOE stun for ret that already has two stuns and a daze...meh.) So, did Blizzard ever explain or tell us why they only chose those two for Horde side and why they won't add new ones? I've only been playing this game for over a year, so I might have missed out on the secret.

I like the changes we get in Mists of Pandaria, like the path they have decided to take and I'm overall happy with WoW, but I would really like to know why Horde doesn't have a new Paladin race.

I hope that I'm not just another QQ post and I might have missed this topic somewhere else on the forums, but I couldn't find anything related lately, so I decided this was the best way to ask my question.

maybe cuz originally alliance had palas, and horde shamans... Horde doesnt need more palas, in fact, the faking taurens were stupid addition.

None of the other races fit as a paladin as far as the lore of the game goes. Hell, it's stupid that they let taurens be paladins.

I agree absolutely on Taurens being a really weird choice for Paladins, Pandaren on the other hand would be awesome, even though they might not be into the whole I purge all evil out of you with my giant Hammer, they still kinda represent the Light and Justice. At least more than maybe Taurens, Dwarfs etc.

the First Paladin in Azeroth, yes in Azeroth(dranei's is the first paladins)
was a human, Dwarfs and humans were close..very close friends, as such humans gave the knowledge about Paladins to Dwarfs, and even a few high-elfs.

The only true paladins are the ones belonging to the Order of the Silver Hand, that is humans and dwarves. Draenei are Justicars, blood elves are Blood Knights and tauren are Sunwalkers. They are all similar in the way that they are holy warriors who smite for the light, but they're not all de facto paladins.

Or at least undead, there is an undead paladin in Lights Hope so why not. The light should never abandon its true faithful, even in death. Hell we have undead priests so the undead can't use holy power is nulled there.

If you are referring to http://www.wowpedia.org/Leonid_Barthalomew_the_Revered theres no word about him being paladin...Just cuz argent crusade/dawn is lead by a paladin, and its cause is just and holy doesnt make everyone in it paladins.

Exactly. You can be a good and noble person and associated with paladins but not be a paladin yourself, same like in D&D you could be a Lawful Good Fighter and act as noble as any Paladin, but not be a Paladin.

I never see Undead being Paladins, it would make sense in the way that anyone and any class that dies could become an undead but seeing that Paladins are kinda specialized in killing Undead with the help of the Light makes me not see Undead Paladins in the future. For Dwarfs I can see why they can be Paladins having close ties to Humans but when i think of a Dwarf I rather see someone fighting just because he likes to smash heads rather than for Justice xD. But I am fine with the Alliance races, it is all kinda plausible but Pandaren not being Paladins just seems like someone forgot to add that class to the race. Pandaren having a massive amount of muscles make them good for any class that wields heavy weapons (see them being able to be warriors) and they are rather peaceful and spiritual making it very possible that some of them would choose the way of a Paladin to defend Justice.

Horde is all about brutality, backwardsness, genocide, conquest and violence; in short, it advances only evil and wouldn't deserve even its current paladins.

God knows how many times this has been said, but: the undead guy there is NOT a paladin!

So typical for alliance player to write something like that - all this propaganda Allies being the "good guys" in opposition to Horde being the "bad guys" is just silly. Both Horde and Alliance have dark sides, I would even say that Horde has more honour and respect for it's rival, which is why I will always choose Orgrimmar over Stormwind.
OT I think we don't need another pala race in horde - putting new race/class combinations in Cata was already too much for me (apart maybe from belf warriors and human hunters, which in this case made no sense they couldn't be ones)

I guess you missed that pretty much all of BC Blood Elves were getting their powers from a Naruu they kidnapped and tortured.

OT pallies have always been an alli class, hell before bc we didn't have any pallies, so it would make sense that alli would have more races open to that choice, just like we have more shammies

It is called Holy Wrath (glyphed it is op on Rag), Hammer of Justice and glyphed Avenger's Shield (Glyph of Dazing Shield).

Now go smartass somewhere else.

OT : Having the choice between only 2 races for your class is not that fun (might not fit in lorewise and such but from a pure fun perspective it be nice) it be great to give the old races a fresh face instead then. Some racials are meh and for some classes the racechoice is so tiny that they can't choose one that will actually influence their playstyle. Maybe I see this wrong idnk :-)
