[GTX 480, driver 285.xx] No Ground / Driver error

GPU: Nvidia GTX 480
Driver: 285.xx (going to update to 285.62)
Problem: no ground and still showing that I have 260 drivers?

tested this method http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=213902 doesn't worked, no clue what's wrong with this installer, it just fails after trying to install control panel, got no clue how can i BAN nvidia installer to install that useless tool since it's main reason why its failing.

I have to ask, did you do a complete driver re-install or did you just run the client right away? Drivers rarely like that and it can cause some major issues.

Did did loads of cleaning, ccleaned bad registry and also driver sweeper in safty mode etc etc.

theory:
Try installing driver via device manager; go to display adapters, right click video card then update driver, browse to where nvidia driver has been uncompressed.
Worked for me !
