Yeah, it looks like they optimized the game really well, and it's beautiful too. It makes me wonder what kind of shambles WoW's code must be to have such old-style graphics and still lose frames in some cases.

It's cause it's going by low requirements than optimization for WoW. Older the code gets with stuff shoved onto it, the harder it is to be more optimized without a gigantic rehaul.

Oh, I know. Which is why I wish they'd just do a WoW2 instead of keep expanding this ancient engine. But that's another topic.

If you previously had an FF14 subscription, does that increase your chances of getting in the beta? Have they said anything about that?

If it was for 3 months or more (legacy account) you should get in stage 1 / 2 iirc, and then if you have less than 3 months sub but bought the base game you get into stage 3 like me.

I used the Benchmark, but they didnt have the usual resolution i use my PC on, which is 1440x900. Still i got a Very High in performance, with most option on High and the perks turned on.

You can get into p1 and 2 without legacy or alpha tester.

Is it easier to get in if I beta tested the first version but didn't buy it?

Maybe. I don't think they've really released much info on it, apart from Legacy accounts getting priority.

Nope. I didn't get an invite and I played 1.0 closed beta. But my friend who has never played a FF game in her life got an invite.

    Random is random.

He asked were your chances better, not was it possible ^^

and you have a better chance at getting in earlier as legacy, but not no chance as non-legacy.

If you're legacy you get into all phases. It was put out in a Q&A right around the time alpha was going on.

be careful what you say here technically not even allowed to say one is in the beta yet ... they have already banned ppl for simply saying that

If anyone was banned it was due to accumulating a certain number of infractions. Not just one post, unless that post was incredibly terrible.
