Question Is Assassin's Creed worth beating?

Well, long story short... I've never played the series, but have heard AMAZING things about it. AC 1 and 2 are only 7$ at my local EB games, and Brotherhood is around 20$... Would it be worth it for me to beat all 3? Since Revelations is coming out in the next week Thanks in advance :P

It gets repetitive and is a bit of a mind fuck at the end but I feel like its worth it. Assassion's Creed 1 that is.

2 is less repetitive and you've got a little bit more control over character development (no dialogue stuff, you just choose what armor and weapons you want to use and such). And a big "What the fuck?!" moment at the end.

Brotherhood is very much like 2, but with more weapons, Assassin allies, multiplayer-pvp thing. It ends with at "Wait, what the fuck just happened?" kinda feeling.

They're all good in their own rights and I highly recommend them.

Depends really. If you like a good story, go for it. If you don't like story, probably not.

I don't think the mindfuck is worth the repetitive play, tbh.
I haven't beaten any yet, but I've played them all more than halfway through and just looked up what happens.

Sorry, but games just aren't worth it nowadays.

i couldn't bring myself to finish a AC game yet, it gets really boring after a while and there is not a significative difference from one AC to another... so yeah, i wouldn't spend money on that, maybe torrent or we

All 3 endings will leave you with your mind blown.

the AC games rewards f'ing around discovering stuff aswell. Both inside and outside of the animus.

I highly recommend that you play them, but don't expect to fully understand anything in a weeks time

Yes. They're all worth playing. They can get repetitive, but I never found it to be a huge problem.

I've only played and beat the first one and that was when it first came out so it was a while ago. While the story was great I do agree on the gameplay being somewhat repetitive but I still completed the whole thing (flags and all, I'm the "collect all heart pieces and secret items in zelda games type of guy"). Now I have the 2nd one but for some reason I haven't brought myself to start playing it (been playing other zelda games and watching Lost XD) but from what I was told it was much less repetitive while keeping the good story and more customization so I'd say that you probably should look into them OP.
"Didn't we have some fun...though? Remember when the platform was sliding into the fire pit and I said 'Goodbye' and you were like 'No way' and then I was all 'We pretended we were going to murder you'......that was great"

I Disagree. It's obvious you never played any of them past the first. And AC one can be repetitve but that is on you. You actually choose 3 out of the 5 ways to gain information for the hits. It's your fault if you choose the same 3 every time.

@OP - I enjoyed all of them immensely. The first one can be repetitive but just barrel through it and enjoy the story. I would definitely recommend the series to anyone.

This. I thought 2 was the best one of the series in terms of both gameplay and crazy ending. Brothhood was pretty good as well but I just didn't like how the gearing progressed from the beginning to the end of the game, and I wasn't a big fan of the ending for brotherhood either.

Played 1 and 2... all I can say is... so far it is just the same. Go there and kill him. Reach him by jumping from roof to roof. Go there and so some shizzle, tip use the roofs... blablablaaa. Only difference between the games is that you get extra weapons/abilities. the story is decent... and indeed at the end of AC2 u get a big wtf??!? moment.

Imo it is not worth to buy the game for the release price. But if you can get them for that cheap. Ye give it a shot. Or just start with AC1 and see what you think of it.

I loved the games honestly, the first one was absolutely amazing to me but it did seem like it got really repetitive by the end... the 2nd one felt almost exactly like the first one to me which was disappointing but by the end of the game was also really good. Brotherhood was absolutely amazing and I absolutely cannot wait to play the new one that comes out later this month.

I would definitely recommend the games as buy worthy, the story is 100% amazing.

I didnt really care for AC 1, got bored with it half way through it. If you want to play Revelations you need to at least play AC: 2 and brotherhood IMO

Brotherhood is awesome! I loved everything about it. The Story in AC:2(Best one, IMO) was amazing, game play was kinda eh.

I'd buy all three because thats pretty cheap.

Its totally worth it, i love Assassin's Creed nice story pretty entertaining game, for me AC1 sucked because i played AC2 1st so dont make the same mistake as i did because the graphics difference between 1 and 2 are huge.

If you're going for story, definitely. Can't wait to see what happens after Brotherhood. Playback value the first AC has very little, but AC2 and ACB got much better with playback, especially Brotherhood.
