    Skyrim: Xbox PC or PS3?

I know people on this site seem to be pretty PC biased, but I was wondering which one i should go for. I prefer to play games on consoles, however elder scrolls games generally have alot of cool mods that you can only get on PC. Are these mods worth dealing with the pain-in-the-ass controls of PC games? Which would you recommend that I get?

EDIT: I went on systemrequirementslab.com and the results were between a third of the way and halfway between "Minimum" and "Recommended". So I definitely could play the game on my PC, but would it be worth it? How bad do you think the performance would be?

EDIT2: Here are my specs, what do you think?

    Intel (R) HD Graphics
    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650
    Intel core i5 M 460 2.52 GHz
    64 bit operating system
    Installed Memory(RAM) 4.00 GB(3.80 GB Usable)

    ill get the xbox version.

Console gaming > PC for most games imo. RTS and mmo being the only exception.

PC, all the way. Buy an xbox controller for windows, control preference problem solved.

Personally I will be getting it on PC. Why are PC controls "pain-in-the-ass"? I love using mouse and keyboard. I guess it's just personal opinion. You can buy an Xbox controller that has a USB to plug into the PC.

But yeah, the modding community will be great. Why would you question free awesome DLC?

I generally prefer consoles as well(hell Warcraft is what got me into PCs and wow is the main reason i upgrade) but yeah i say go PC the mods will be GREAT and you can only do that on PC.

Oh and for some more perspective i have all current gen consoles and tend to buy for them instead but for games like this and DA i go PC JUST for the badass mods.

I'd go with PC if you have a computer powerful enough to run it. You can use a controller if you don't like the mouse/keyboard setup, and it gives you access to mods (unless they have done something to disable them), drastically increasing the replay value of the game.

You can probably play the pc version with a controller, so if controls are your only issue then i'd go for that. Personally, i'm going PC for it as my comp is pretty decent and i think it'll look and play better on it, compared to xbox. Same happend with GTA 4 - was kind of laggy feeling on the xbox but runs brilliantly on the PC for me.

I doubt they would. Most western developers seem to like making half finished games and then letting modders finish it. At least that was my experience with DA and Oblivion.

Or, it's making half finished games then selling the other half as DLC!

I might look into how much those controllers are. Thanks guys.

That too but i still say they rely too much on modders. I mean in oblivion for instance the ONLY way to get a decent looking character was to either be a god at working it or mod a new race into the game. Both just felt incomplete even with DLC i guess is what i'm saying.

PC for the modding community, if nothing else.

You really shouldn't play Skyrim on anything else other then PC. Pretty much the same as BF3. Simply because patches, and MOSTLY the mods, will fix the issues the game will definitely have.

Was considering getting it for PC, but then I realised I prefer they type of games on Console, I think the only upside to PC is as thanntos said, the mods make the game 100 times funner but I guess it's really down to prefrence to mouse or controller.

Xbox if you don't have a solid PC. Otherwise, you really, really, really ought to play it on PC.

I'll be going with PC for the mods. I had oblivion on both xbox and PC and definitely liked being able to mess around with mods after playing the normal game. I would recommend looking at some Oblivion top mods to get an idea of some of the things people can do to make your decision. If you wouldn't use any of them, then just go with console if you prefer it that much more.

Like others have said though if you have a wired xbox controller you can just plug it into your PC's USB. I would only go console if my PC couldn't handle it, personally.

As a rule of thumb I wouldn't ever play a bethesda game on anything other than a pc. The expansive list of mods really make the game for me as the game becomes as limited as your imagination

If your computer can handle WoW, it can handle Skyrim/Oblivion. But yea, to reiterate, mods will make this game 100% better on PC.

If you got a good computer and want to mod go pc, if none of these apply go xbox, I played oblivion on the xbox, it is fun.
