Time for a new profession: Woodworking

Why the hell not?

• Can make staves and wands(I know, I know, but take it away from enchanting) and BoE trinkets
• Can make wooden mounts (like a DaVinci inspired flight machine or even a boat) & pets
• Woodworking only bonus stats to one piece of gear (like a LW's wrist enchant or Enchant/rings or Inscript/Shoulders) maybe to boots
• Mount kits: The ability to add one of the following to any mount: reagent vendor, food & drink vendor, repair vendor
• Silly fun stuff like:
- 30 second stilts (that act like a hover)
- Guitars that replace the main hand for show in towns (no stats not for transmog)
- Chew toys for companion pets that give a slight buff
- Various toys, like the train set or a hobby horse

Woodworking is nice.

It would be cool if we could buy some land in WoW with gold and hire woodworkers or become a woodworker yourself and build your own house.
(I know people would think this is lame lol I just personally thought it might be nice :P )

Golly, you're right. Thank you for setting me straight and bringing in realism to the conversation. In fact, I went to PetSmart, looking for a chew toy for my tiny dragon pet, an alas, there were new wooden chew toys.

It would be a great profession. What would make it even better is if a 2nd new profession was added alongside Woodworking, one that involved gathering the different types of wood needed.

If you look at all the trees in WoW, then gathering the materials would be a great new profession. Call it Lumberjacking, Coppicing, Felling, or whatever you want.

Some woods would be rare and hard to gather, just like Pyrite Ore is now. Some would only come from certain zones.

I think the two new professions together would be a lot of fun.

Add half of what you said to Engineering.
