Heavenly shard & 4.3

I was wondering about they price in 4.3. How do you guys think it will go up or down. Now on my realm shards coast around 70g. I got BS and enchanter so its not problem to get them for me. Should i stack them or sell much as i can?!

Price of shards will depend on the current price of maelstrom crystals. Shard vary from 50-80g on my realm depending on who's just done their shuffle, but maelstrom crystals rarely go below 100g each now. Probably doesn't help that we've got someone trying to keep them at 250g though...

EDIT: With 3 new 5 mans, maelstroms are initially going to increase in price slightly as everyone rushes to get their new gear, but once everyone has the items they are after, everything will be disenchanted, and prices should hopefully drop a little, it'll all even out eventually to roughly what it is now anyway, maybe shards will drop slightly if mroe people start running the older 5 mans.

Sell them. They're dirt cheap to make anyway, as long as all your realm's gold farmers haven't been shut down.

They will most likely go down, we will get the same amount of VP for doing all the the different kind of dungeons, so there will be more people doing the the Old HC's

I would say the price will rise as they are needed on some of the top end enchants. People will be getting new gear and new gear needs enchanting. As the shards only come from the old instances there should be demand.

They will go up, as people get new gear from 5 mans and new raid dungeons, people are going to enchant their gear.

If you're making a profit now, just keep doing it.
And when the patch hits you can still keep doing it, unless ore prices change alot. But that still doesn't matter since you already made your profit from what you're doing now.

I've sold all my stashes, in 4.3 with a new raid, new heroics there will be a ton of maelstrom which in turn will turn into 2 tons of heavenlies. My guess is that prices will drop for both due to huge supply.

Up perhaps due to a spike in demand for new enchants, but the greater potential supply will drive prices down again to below what they are currently maybe.

Aboslutely sell sell sell. I haven't even finished leveling my enchant (i'm 530/535 BE), and I dump all my mats, bc I know crystals and shards are going to plunge.

With ZA and stuff being nerfed and also the new heroics coming out, the price will go up, depending on server. As of right no Heavenly shards are worth more on Executus - Horde, due to the fact people run more ZA heroics then Reg Heroics.

No one doing old heroics = no shards = price go up.

Going to go down on my server.

Remember we are getting Maelstrom Shatter where 1 Maelstrom = 2 Heavenly. Now I don't know about you guys, but I've got hundreds of Maelstrom that I haven't been selling. My guild has around 400. The fact that they are adding new dungeons means people will be farming valor again and new dungeons meaning more loot will be De'ed into Maelstroms which can now be doubled into Heavenly shard.

People no longer need to run old heroics for Heavenly's so that argument is moot.

Yep, the market is already flooded with maelstrom and with the new heroics it will be even more so.

Yes, everyone will want to enchant their new gear but with so many maelstrom on the market the prices will plunge rapidly. I would sell everything I have now if I had any left, give it to some guy that will think maelstrom will rise because of the shatter recipe ^_^

Where does it say they will nerf ZA ?

You only have to do 4 bosses in both ZA/ZG to unlock the last boss, instead of actually clearing the entire instance. Don't like the Lynx boss? Skip it. Don't like the poison boss in ZG? Skipp it.

I would sell them now, with the new pattern coming out, they will be worthless like the maelstrom crystals
