Just got in for a weekend beta as well, Friday at 5PM til Sunday at midnight. Won't be able to play as much as I would like because I am on a trip that weekend, but should still be able to get at least 20 hours throughout the weekend. Kinda sucks that its such a limited time though

The email is legit, the brief moment I was on their website before it went down again I was able to accept the invite and get to the beta tester forum

I got a weekend invite in my email today as well. Unfortunately, I'm probably not going to even bother to use it. Couple the Skyrim release with family coming to our house this weekend and going to the Iowa game and my wife has me in honey-do list mode to the extreme.

I got mine last night. I am so very stoked to play. The only problem is.. its not FRIDAY!! As for the site yeah its been up and down all day. I am very glad I downloaded everything last night and avoided the mob of folks signing on today. I'm sure they will get that squared away soon.
